Η επιστροφή που αναπτέρωσε το ανήθικο!

Με τα πολλά και τα λίγα, ο David Coverdale, αφού είδε και αποείδε τη δίψα του κόσμου για το κλασικό Hard 'N Heavy Rock, είχε ήδη ξανά πάρει τους δρόμους της Ευρώπης με τη νέα σύνθεση του συγκροτήματος (του). Είχε κυκλοφορήσει ένα διπλό ζωντανά ηχογραφημένο άλμπουμ και DVD. Αυτό που έλειπε ήταν νέο υλικό στον τομέα της δισκογραφίας. 

Με τον μεγάλο παίχτη της εξάχορδης κιθάρας, τον γυρολόγο Doug Aldrich (που είχα τη χαρά να τον δω επί το έργον στον Dio), τον έτερο Καππαδόκη μέγιστο κιθαρίστα Reg Beach, τον Timothy Drury στα πλήκτρα και το ηλεκτρικό πιάνο, τον Uriah Duffy στο μπάσο και τον ντράμερ Chris Frazier, το δέκατο συνολικά στούντιο άλμπουμ του "λευκού φιδιού" ήταν γεγονός!

 

Το Χ που υπάρχει στο εξώφυλλο, το οποίο είναι πραγματικά κλασικό και καλαίσθητο, σηματοδοτεί τον αριθμό 10 στη ρωμαϊκή αρίθμηση και επισήμως τον βαθμό που παίρνει το τελικό αποτέλεσμα. Ένα άλμπουμ που θύμισε εποχές του 1987 και πιο πίσω, αν μη τι άλλο, το Slide It In. 

Ο David, που είχε ακόμα το blues στη φωνή του, αναλλοίωτο, αν και ο χρόνος φαίνονταν πλέον, δίνει τον πολύ καλό εαυτό του, και έτσι έχουμε εδώ ένα πολύ δυνατό comeback. Με έντεκα κομμάτια – ροκιές, heavy ύμνους, μπαλάντες και πολύ καλή παραγωγή – το 10/10 είναι αυτό που παίρνει. 

Προστέθηκαν στο ζωντανό playlist τα τραγούδια: Best Years, Can You Hear the Wind Blow, Call On Me, Good To Be Bad, All For Love, Summer Rain, A Fool On Love (ναι, πάλι πολλοί τίτλοι με αγάπη από τον αγαπησιάρη Coverdale), και Till the End of Time.

The comeback that revived the immoral!

After much effort and some patience, David Coverdale, having seen and experienced the thirst of the fans for classic Hard 'N Heavy Rock, had already taken to the roads of Europe once again with the band’s new lineup. He had released a double live album and DVD. What was missing was new material in terms of discography. 

With the legendary six-string guitarist, the touring veteran Doug Aldrich (whom I had the pleasure of seeing in action with Dio), the other great Cappadocian guitarist Reg Beach, Timothy Drury on keyboards and electric piano, Uriah Duffy on bass, and drummer Chris Frazier, the tenth studio album overall from the “white snake” was a fact! 

The “X” on the cover—truly classic and tasteful—symbolizes the number 10 in Roman numerals and also indicates the grade the final result receives. An album that brought to mind the 1987 era and, at the very least, Slide It In. 

David, who still retained the blues in his voice—unaltered, despite the passing of time—delivers a very good performance, and thus we have a very strong comeback. With eleven tracks—rockers, heavy anthems, ballads, and excellent production—the 10/10 rating is well deserved. 

The live playlist was also augmented with the songs: Best Years, Can You Hear the Wind Blow, Call On Me, Good To Be Bad, All For Love, Summer Rain, A Fool On Love (yes, again, many titles filled with love from the beloved Coverdale), and Till the End of Time.
