REVIEW: TIMELESS HALL – Timeless Hall

TIMELESS HALL – Timeless Hall

Steel Legacy Records

This release is a re-issue of the sole album by the Danish metal band Timeless Hall, issued by one of Greece’s premier metal labels. Originally released in 1994, the band later adopted the name BREED. The re-issue is limited to 1,000 CD copies and 333 vinyl copies, and it includes three bonus tracks: “True Love,” “Of Shades and Sorrow,” and “Tears in the Rain.”

Musically, the album can be characterized as lyrical power metal. The band’s primary influence appears to be QUEENSRYCHE, which results in a sound that may lack some of the raw power often associated with the genre. Notably, the strongest tracks tend to be on the second side, with “Lost Horizon,” “Sadness,” “Everlasting Rush,” and “Truth Within” standing out as particular highlights.

This re-issue is highly recommended for fans of lyrical power metal, as it offers a solid representation of the style and era. It may also appeal to enthusiasts of progressive metal. However, listeners with a preference for classic ‘80s heavy metal, traditional thrash, or epic metal genres might find this album less aligned with their tastes, unless they specifically enjoy lyrical power metal.
