Το ντεμπούτο των Ιρλανδών Atmospheric Black Metalers είναι η χρυσή τομή ανάμεσα σε αυτό που έχουμε στο μυαλό μας σαν το δεύτερο κύμα Black Metal στη Σκανδιναβία και στο Doom Metal. Οι μελλοντικοί καταθλιπτικοί και μεγαλειώδεις ρυθμοί απέχουν μερικά χρόνια ακόμα. Άγνωστοι μεταξύ αγνώστων και από ένα νησί με παράδοση στον ηλεκτρικό ήχο, στο πρώτο τους αυτό άλμπουμ το black metal riff όπως το πρωτοδίδαξαν οι Νορβηγοί συναντά το φολκλορικό στοιχείο της δικής τους παράδοσης που πάντα είχαν οι Primordial, έστω και σε μικρότερες αναλογίες εδώ ακόμη. Η φωνή του αιωνίου Alan Averill Nemtheanga εστιάζει στο black metal shriek ηχόχρωμα αλλά σε σημεία ακούγεται και καθαρή - τεχνική που θα αναστραφεί στους μελλοντικούς δίσκους τους μέχρις απόσβεσης κάθε black ύφους -. Ο τίτλος του δίσκου απ' τα γαελικά μεταφράζεται σαν διαδρομή ή ταξίδι. Μαζί στην επανακυκλοφορία αυτή της Metal Blade το Demo τους του 1993 Dark Romanticism και τα κλασικά Fuil Arsa, Infernal Summer, Here I Am King, The Darkest Flame, Let the Sun Set on Life Forever, To the Ends of the Earth, Beneath a Bronze Sky και Awaiting the Dawn συμπληρώνουν τον κέλτικο εφιάλτη αυτού του δίσκου.

Through Morbid Clearings 

The debut of the Irish Atmospheric Black Metal band marks the perfect intersection between what we envision as the second wave of Black Metal in Scandinavia and Doom Metal. The future depressive and grandiose rhythms are still a few years away. Unknown among strangers and hailing from an island with a tradition in electric sound, their first album blends black metal riffs—as first taught by the Norwegians—with folk elements rooted in their own heritage. Even here, these influences are present in smaller proportions. The voice of the eternal Alan Averill Nemtheanga emphasizes a black metal shriek tone, but at times also features clean singing—techniques that would be reversed in their future albums, eventually erasing any black metal stylistic traits. 

The album title, translated from Gaelic, means "journey" or "trip." Along with this reissue by Metal Blade, their 1993 demo “Dark Romanticism” and classic tracks such as *Fuil Arsa*, *Infernal Summer*, *Here I Am King*, *The Darkest Flame*, *Let the Sun Set on Life Forever*, *To the Ends of the Earth*, *Beneath a Bronze Sky*, and *Awaiting the Dawn* complete the Celtic nightmare that this record embodies.
