Ένα τρίο - ισχύος σε μουσικό επίπεδο είναι οι γνωστοί κι αγαπημένοι Grand Magus και το άλμπουμ τους του 2014  αυτό είναι νομίζω από τα πιο αντιπροσωπευτικά δείγματα τους. Επικοί θεματολογικά αλλά λιγότερο μουσικά, δεν είναι οι νέοι Warlord, Manowar, Virgin Steele ή Omen. Μη περιμένετε τέτοια επίπεδα. Εδώ η μουσική είναι από Doom μέχρι αργό Power Metal, με καλπάζοντες μεν ρυθμούς αλλά και στιχουργικό μεγαλείο απαράμιλλης λυρικής διάθεσης. On Hooves of Gold, Steel Versus Steel, Fight, Triumph and Power, Dominator, Holmgang, The Naked and the Dead, The Hammer Will Bite μας στέλνουν σε κόσμους όπου χαμένες αξίες τόσο μουσικές όσο και κώδικες τιμής, αιματηρά πεδία μάχης και ηρωικές μορφές που ακουμπάνε τον μύθο. Ένας δίσκος από τους πιο αγαπημένους στον κόσμο που ακόμα τους λατρεύει.

The Epic Fathers of the Modern Metal Path.

A power trio in a musical sense are the well-known and beloved Grand Magus, and I believe their 2014 album is one of their most representative examples. Epic in theme but less so musically, they are not the new Warlord, Manowar, Virgin Steele, or Omen. Don't expect those levels. Here the music ranges from Doom to slow Power Metal, with galloping rhythms but also lyrical grandeur of unparalleled poetic mood. "On Hooves of Gold," "Steel Versus Steel," "Fight," "Triumph and Power," "Dominator," "Holmgang," "The Naked and the Dead," "The Hammer Will Bite" send us to worlds where lost values, both musical and codes of honor, bloody battlefields, and heroic figures touching on myth reside. A record from one of the most beloved bands in the world, which still adores them.
