Ο "ελληνικός" δίσκος ενός θρυλικού μουσικού. 

Ο Γαλλοαμερικανός Jack Starr δεν χρειάζεται πολύ πρόλογο ή συστάσεις. Όλοι μας τον ξέρουμε από τα πρώτα άλμπουμ των Virgin Steele και πολύ περισσότερο από το επόμενο σχήμα του, Burning Starr. Το συγκεκριμένο άλμπουμ, και με αυτή τη ονομασία σχήματος ως Guardians of the Flame, που ευθέως παραπέμπει στο πρώτο του συγκρότημα και τον έκανε γνωστό, κυκλοφόρησε από την ανεξάρτητη ελληνική εταιρεία Cult Metal Classics. Η μίξη του τελικού προϊόντος έγινε από τον γνωστό και μη εξαιρετέο R. D. Liapakis, τραγουδιστή των Valley's Eve και Steel Prophet. Έχουμε δείγματα δουλειάς του μεγάλου κιθαρίστα, πολύ κοντά στο σκοτεινό, γρήγορο, νεοκλασικό σε σημεία και επικό υλικό που έχει συνηθίσει στο παρελθόν: U.S. Power Metal με τίτλους όπως The Flame that Never Dies, Conspiratos Sanctos, Crack of Dawn, Anthem for the Nations, Sharon of the Woods, Under A Savage Sky, Stand Alone, Masters of Fate, Return From the Ashes.

 

Μαζί του ο επίσης γνωστός ντράμερ Joe Hasselvander, ο Shmulik Avigal στη φωνή και ο μπασίστας Ned Meloni.

The "Greek" album of a legendary musician. 

French-American Jack Starr needs little introduction. We all know him from the early albums of Virgin Steele, and even more so from his next band, Burning Starr. This particular album, released under the band name Guardians of the Flame—directly referencing his first band that made him famous—came out through the independent Greek label Cult Metal Classics. The final mix of the album was handled by the renowned R. D. Liapakis, vocalist of Valley's Eve and Steel Prophet. The album features work by the great guitarist, with a style close to dark, fast, neo-classical in some parts, and epic material he's accustomed to from the past: U.S. Power Metal with titles such as “The Flame that Never Dies”, “Conspiratos Sanctos”, “Crack of Dawn”, “Anthem for the Nations”, “Sharon of the Woods”, “Under A Savage Sky”, “Stand Alone”, “Masters of Fate”, and “Return From the Ashes”. 

Joining him are the well-known drummer Joe Hasselvander, vocalist Shmulik Avigal, and bassist Ned Meloni.
