REVIEW: BLADE’S EDGE - The Fate’s Key

BLADE’S EDGE - The Fate’s Key

Stormspell Records

BLADE’S EDGE, the newest venture from Sage Zavage (known for CURSE BREAKER and BITTER VELVET), has unleashed its first full-length album, “The Fate’s Key”—a roaring, heartfelt homage to the golden era of 1980s heavy metal. After turning heads with two well-received EPs, Zavage cranks things up with a full-throttle, guitar-fueled sound that draws clear inspiration from legends like DOKKEN, OZZY and SABIRE.

Spanning 11 tracks (with a bonus demo exclusive to the CD edition), the album taps into everything fans love about classic metal: soaring high-register vocals, blazing guitar solos, and anthemic choruses that channel the raw emotion and over-the-top energy of the L.A. metal scene. Standout tracks like the dramatic “Her Sacrifice”, the punchy “Hollow Gratitudes” and the epic title track “The Fate’s Key” show just how well Zavage balances technical prowess with memorable songwriting.

“The Fate’s Key” is available now on a limited-edition jewel case CD—just 500 copies worldwide—featuring striking artwork by Julian Mora and a full-color booklet packed with lyrics, photos, and credits. This first pressing also includes a special bonus: the gritty, unpolished “Cry Out (Demo 2020)” offering a glimpse into the band’s raw early sound.
