Wodos to Release Debut Album "From the Grave" on September 20

Wodos, an old-school thrash metal band from Lévis, Quebec, Canada, will release their debut full-length album, From the Grave, on September 20. The album's lead single, "Head Dead," is now available.

Formed in the winter of 2024, Wodos built their following through a DIY approach, producing hand-made flyers, recording their own demos, and creating their own stage banners. In early 2025, the band released a three-track debut demo on cassette and CD, which drew attention from underground metal publications and was aired on more than 50 radio stations worldwide.

Known for their fast, aggressive sound, Wodos performed over 30 shows across Quebec and Ontario in their first year, sharing stages with acts including Chris Holmes (W.A.S.P.), Quebec thrash veterans Soothsayer, and BARF. The band has upcoming performances scheduled, including dates alongside Canadian thrash pioneers DBC (Dead Brain Cells).

Citing influences such as Slayer, Sadus, Demolition Hammer, Dark Angel, and Quebec's early underground thrash scene, Wodos recorded From the Grave entirely using analog equipment. The album is described as a raw, fast-paced record aimed at longtime fans of classic 1980s thrash metal, positioning the band as an alternative to more polished, trend-driven acts in the current metal landscape.
