Μέσα πάμε πολύ καλά!

Η αθηναϊκή Heavy Metal μπάντα κυκλοφόρησε πριν από λιγότερο από έναν μήνα το ντεμπούτο CD της. Πρόκειται για μια πεντάδα μουσικών με «κλασική» Metal παιδεία, βυθισμένη και αυτή στον ήχο των ’80s και ’90s!

Οι κύριοι Γιώργος Μυλωνάς (κιθάρα), Θοδωρής Μαρτίνης (φωνητικά), Πάνος Παύλου (κιθάρα), Peter Jonathan Parker (μπάσο) και Ζώης Ψαράκης (ντραμς) ξεκίνησαν το σχήμα το 2023.

Πώς το είχα δει γραμμένο κάπου; Νέο κύμα της ελληνικής Heavy Metal (NWOHHM)! Κι αν υπάρχει κάτι τέτοιο, τα παιδιά αποτελούν ένα από τα καλύτερα κομμάτια του.

Οκτώ κομμάτια: Survive the Night, Lost Heaven, The Only One, Don’t Give Up, Devil’s Heart, Keeper of Faith, Never Surrender και Queen of the Damned, για το οποίο γυρίστηκε και το βιντεοκλίπ του άλμπουμ.

Ένα πολύ καλό σύνολο, με βασική επιρροή, για άλλη μια φορά, το κλασικό U.S. Power Metal, σε μεγάλο βαθμό από τη μελωδικότερη πλευρά του. Σε ορισμένα σημεία, βέβαια, θυμίζουν και κάτι από Helloween.

Το άλμπουμ όχι μόνο δεν απογοήτευσε, αλλά, τουναντίον, μας κάνει να περιμένουμε με ενδιαφέρον για να δούμε τι άλλο μπορούν να προσφέρουν στο μέλλον. Μας κάνουν κι αυτοί να ελπίζουμε στο μέλλον της ντόπιας μεταλλικής σκηνής!

Things Are Going Really Well!

The Athens-based Heavy Metal band released their debut CD less than a month ago. The group consists of five musicians with a “classic” Metal background, equally immersed in the sound of the ’80s and ’90s!

The band was formed in 2023 by George Mylonas (guitar), Thodoris Mart inis (vocals), Panos Pavlou (guitar), Peter Jonathan Parker (bass) and Zois Psarakis (drums).

Where had I seen it written? The New Wave of Greek Heavy Metal (NWOHHM)! And if such a thing exists, these guys are among its finest representatives.

Eight tracks make up the album: Survive the Night, Lost Heaven, The Only One, Don’t Give Up, Devil’s Heart, Keeper of Faith, Never Surrender and Queen of the Damned, which also received a music video.

A very good collection of songs, drawing primarily, once again, on classic U.S. Power Metal, largely from its more melodic side. In certain places, of course, they also bring Helloween to mind.

The album not only failed to disappoint but, on the contrary, leaves us eager to see what else they can deliver in the future. They, too, give us reason to feel optimistic about the future of the local Metal scene!
