American avant-garde black metal project Gull Skull
has released its debut album, My Favorite Season: Nuclear Winter. The album was
recorded, mixed, and mastered at Rampike Studios by sole member Cicuta
Maculata.
Rooted in Appalachia, USA, Gull Skull combines
dissonant tremolo-picked guitars and relentless blast beats with electronic
frequencies, industrial hums, and layers of static. The result is a raw,
noise-driven soundscape reflecting themes of geopolitical anxiety, total
warfare, and nuclear devastation.
