Ανατολή μίας ακόμη δεκαετίας ηλεκτρισμού. 

Οι Αυστραλοί Heavy Rockers, που κι αυτοί με τη σειρά τους έκαναν μια μικρή "μπάκα", όχι ιδιαίτερα από τις μπύρες και τις καταχρήσεις κάθε άλλου είδους, αλλά δισκογραφικά από τα μέσα των 80s, εδώ παίρνουν το αίμα τους πίσω. Όχι ότι το άλμπουμ τους «Blow Up Your Video» είναι κακό, αλλά όπως και να το δεις, δεν έχει την παλιά αίγλη, κάτι που η "άκρη του ξυραφιού" διαθέτει με το παραπάνω. 

Ο Malcolm Young είχε απειλήσει ότι θα αποχωρήσει λόγω προσωπικών προβλημάτων μετά τον προηγούμενο δίσκο, αλλά ευτυχώς απομάκρυνε λίγο τα διάφορα μπουκάλια αλκοόλ από κοντά του και μαζί με τον αδερφό του Angus γράφουν εδώ υλικό άξιο του "μεταλλικού" λογότυπου στο εξώφυλλο του δίσκου! 

Αξιοπρόσεκτος είναι ο ερχομός του ντράμερ Chris Slade, με το περίφημο ξυρισμένο κεφάλι του να "λάμπει" πίσω από τα κρουστά. Ο τύπος είχε περάσει σε άλλες εμφανίσεις ακριβώς δέκα χρόνια πριν από τους Uriah Heep, στο πιο παράξενο (κι όχι απαραίτητα κακό) άλμπουμ τους, το «Conquest».

 

Επίσης, άλλο αξιοπρόσεκτο είναι ότι ο τραγουδιστής Brian Johnson πλέον δε θα αποχωρίζεται σχεδόν ποτέ τη διάσημη τραγιάσκα του, την οποία φορούσε περιστασιακά από την εποχή του «Back in Black» δέκα χρόνια πριν, όταν ήρθε στο συγκρότημα. Αιτία: το ξεγυρισμένο μπιφτέκι / αραίωση μαλλιών που είχε από τότε! 

Οπότε, εδώ μέσα έχει τον πλέον πολυπαιγμένο ύμνο στα καφέ, μπάρ και ροκ κλαμπ, το «Thunderstruck», να ανοίγει, καθώς και τα «Fire Your Guns», «Money Talks», το ασυνήθιστα σκοτεινό και βαρύ ομότιτλο του δίσκου, όπως και ακόμα τα «Rock Your Heart Out», «Got You by the Balls», «Shot of Love», «Goodbye and Good Riddance to Bad Luck», που θυμίζουν πόσο μεγάλο άλμπουμ είναι.

The Australian Heavy Rockers, who in their own way also made a small "mark," not so much with beers and various excesses, but musically from the mid-80s onwards, are here taking their revenge. Not that their album Blow Up Your Video is bad, but no matter how you look at it, it doesn’t have the old glory — something that The Razor’s Edge definitely possesses. 

Malcolm Young had threatened to leave due to personal issues after the previous album, but fortunately, he managed to put aside some of the bottles of alcohol, and along with his brother Angus, they’ve crafted material worthy of the “metal” logo on the album cover! 

A noteworthy arrival is drummer Chris Slade, whose famous shaved head is shining brightly behind the drums. The guy had previously played with other bands exactly ten years earlier, in a rather strange (but not necessarily bad) album by Uriah Heep, Conquest. 

Also worth mentioning is that vocalist Brian Johnson now almost never parts with his iconic flat cap, which he had worn sporadically since the Back in Black days, ten years earlier, when he joined the band. The reason: the wild burger / hair thinning he had back then! 

So, within this album, you’ll find the most played anthem in cafés, bars, and rock clubs — Thunderstruck — opening the record, along with Fire Your Guns, Money Talks, and the album’s unusually dark and heavy title track. Plus, there are Rock Your Heart Out, Got You by the Balls, Shot of Love, and Goodbye and Good Riddance to Bad Luck, all reminding us how great an album this really is.
