Η τριάδα Wagner, Smolski, Terrana ξαναχτυπάει μετά το πολύ παρήγορο Unity λίγον καιρό πριν. Το ή, μάλλον ο Soundchaser, δεν είναι τίποτα άλλο παρά αυτή η ρομποτική φιγούρα που από το 1988 και το τρίτο τους άλμπουμ ως Rage, το κλασικό Perfect Man, υπάρχει σε πολλά εξώφυλλα δίσκων τους. Εδώ έχουμε μια συμβολική κατάσταση, αφού τρεις εμφανίζονται σε ένα εξώφυλλο, να αναπαριστούν τα μέλη του συγκροτήματος. Από το Unity είδαμε μια νέα παραλλαγή του, με ανθρώπινο κρανίο στο πάνω μέρος, να αντικαθιστά το ζωόδες μέρος. Αλήθεια, δε μου αρέσει αυτή η παραλλαγή, αλλά τα τελευταία 23 χρόνια την ανέχομαι. Το λογότυπο παρέμεινε κι αυτό μια απλή μεταλλική επιγραφή, αλλά εδώ και πάλι η μουσική μετράει. Κι η μουσική τελικά, παρά — ή μάλλον μετράει — στο περιεχόμενο του άλμπουμ. War Of Worlds, Great Old Ones, Soundchaser, Secrets In A Weird World (να κι οι Rage στη φάση: τίτλος δίσκου τους του 1989 σαν τραγούδι το 2003!), Human Metal, See You In Heaven or Hell, καθώς και η σουίτα Falling From Grace σε δύο μέρη, το φωνάζουν, το ουρλιάζουν καλύτερα: επιστροφή στη μέση εποχή 88-94 μουσικά, αλλά με πολύ περισσότερη τεχνική.

Breaking the sound barrier (for themselves).

The trio of Wagner, Smolski, and Terrana is hitting again after the very encouraging Unity from a little while ago. The Soundchaser, or rather the "Soundchaser" figure, is nothing more than that robotic character that has appeared on many of their album covers since 1988 and their third album as Rage, the classic Perfect Man. Here, we have a symbolic situation, as three figures appear on one cover, representing the band members. From Unity, we saw a new variation of it, with a human skull at the top replacing the animalistic part. Honestly, I don’t like this variation, but I’ve tolerated it for the last 23 years. The logo remained a simple metallic inscription, but once again, it’s the music that counts. And ultimately, music — or rather, it counts — in the album’s content. War Of Worlds, Great Old Ones, Soundchaser, Secrets In A Weird World (there’s Rage in the phase: their 1989 album title as a song in 2003!), Human Metal, See You In Heaven or Hell, as well as the Falling From Grace suite in two parts, all shout, scream better: a return to the mid-80s to early-90s musically, but with much more technicality.
