Greek black metal band Imperium Infernalis from
Heraklion, Crete, has dropped a new 18-minute, single-track EP titled
"Mortality Salience." The release explores themes of human mortality
through philosophical, psychological, and religious perspectives.
Formed in 2003 by vocalist M.F., the band released
several demos before their debut album in 2013 and gained wider recognition
with their 2017 album "Imago Dei," praised by Greek Metal Hammer and
No Clean Singing.
Today, July 18, 2025, they unveil "Mortality
Salience," recorded in their home studios, with mixing and mastering by
drummer G. “Geegor” Anagnostopoulos. The cover art was created by American
artist Burney/Batdog.
The band features M.F. (vocals), Dr. V.A. and G.L.
(guitars), G.M. (bass), Geegor (drums), and Dr. Obscure (concept and lyrics).
Fans of intense, introspective black metal can now experience this profound new
release.
