Εκδίκηση για τον παλιό τους εαυτό;

Οι Kiss του 1992 όντως δεν έχουν και πολύ σχέση με το συγκρότημα που ήταν στη μέση της δεκαετίας του 80. Έχοντας χάσει τραγικά τον δεύτερο ντράμερ τους Eric Carr που έφυγε από ασθένεια το 1991 (ίδια μέρα με τον Freddie Mercury των Queen!) και με δύο σερί μέτρια άλμπουμ στη σειρά (Crazy Nights, Hot In The Shade) ο δρόμος ήταν ανηφορικός. Βρίσκοντας τον ντράμερ λάστιχο Eric Singer γράφουν την "εκδίκηση" τους, ένα θεωρητικά,  κλασικό άλμπουμ μετά από τουλάχιστον έξι χρόνια ανυποληψίας. Οι Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons και Bruce Kulick συμπληρώνουν το καρέ και συνυπογράφουν το βαρύτερο άλμπουμ τους μετά απ' το Lick it Up πριν εννέα χρόνια. Με τα κλασικά Unholy, Take It Off, Domino, God Gave Rock N' Roll to You,  I Just Wanna και το ορχηστρικό Eric Car Jam 1981 να κλείνει με λύπη για τον χαμένο συνοδοιπόρο τους.

Revenge for Their Former Selves?

The KISS of 1992 bears little resemblance to the band that thrived in the mid-1980s. Having tragically lost their second drummer, Eric Carr, to illness in 1991 (on the same day as Freddie Mercury of Queen!), and with two back-to-back mediocre albums (Crazy Nights, Hot in the Shade), their path ahead was challenging. With the addition of drummer Eric Singer, they crafted what could be seen as their "revenge" — a theoretically classic album after at least six years of obscurity. Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, and Bruce Kulick complete the lineup, collaborating on their heaviest album since Lick It Up nine years earlier. Featuring classic tracks like "Unholy," "Take It Off," "Domino," "God Gave Rock N' Roll to You," "I Just Wanna," and the orchestral "Eric Carr Jam 1981," the album poignantly concludes in remembrance of their fallen comrade.
