Distorted Reflection is currently recording their
second album at Fragile Studio in Athens. Set for release in early 2026 via the
German label Iron Shield Records, the album will feature a special guest
appearance by renowned guitarist Jack Starr. Starr, a founding member of Virgin
Steele known for his solo work, will perform the solo for the album's opening
track, "3000 A.D." Additionally, Starr's new solo album, "Out Of
The Darkness Part II," will be released on April 25, 2024, by Bravewords
Records.
The band was formed in August 2022 by Kostas Sal
(ex-Sorrows Path) and is dedicated to a unique heavy doom vision. Their debut
album, titled “Doom Rules Eternally,” was released on February 9, 2024, and
featured artwork and logo design by the famous Tomas Arfert (Candlemass, Krux).
Despite maintaining a low-profile approach without live performances or
interviews, the album received excellent reviews and significant radio airplay
worldwide.
In February 2025, Distorted Reflection returned to
Fragile Studio to record their second album, again collaborating with Tomas
Arfert for the artwork and planning another successful release with Iron Shield
Records. The album is expected to continue their trend of featuring prominent
guest musicians.
