Polish black metal legends PATRIARKH (formerly
Batushka) are back with a fresh vision, unveiling their concept album
"ПРОРОК ИЛИЯ" (PROROK ILJA) on January 3, 2025. This Napalm Records
debut features eight new tracks, telling the story of Prophet Ilja, Eliasz
Klimowicz, from the 1930s and 40s. Following their acclaimed album
"Hospodi" (2019) and extensive touring, PATRIARKH blends Eastern
Orthodox traditions with black and doom metal. Their first single, "ВЕРШАЛИН
III" (WIERSZALIN III), comes with a striking music video capturing an
Orthodox mass, showcasing their unique mix of sacredness, folk instruments, and
doom metal.
