Το πρότζεκτ που έγινε συγκρότημα ή το αντίστροφο;

Ο Piet Sielck, παραγωγός σε πάμπολλα άλμπουμ της γερμανικής σκηνής ήταν κάποτε και κιθαρίστας σε ένα  προδρομικό συγκρότημα μαζί με τον Kai Hansen πολύ καιρό πριν υπάρξουν οι Helloween. Στο πρώτο ομώνυμο άλμπουμ του "σιδερένιου σωτήρα" είδαμε τα στοιχεία που ίσως να είχε αυτή η συνεργασία αν ο Piet δεν επέλεγε την θέση πίσω απ' την πολυκάναλη κονσόλα των στούντιο! Η συνέχεια είναι αυτό το παρά πολύ καλό άλμπουμ που τους βρίσκει μαζί πάλι με τον Dan Zimmerman συνεργάτη του Kai στους Gamma Ray  και τους Andreas Kück πλήκτρα, Jan-Sören Eckert μπάσο να συνεχίζουν την ιστορία επιστημονικής φαντασίας που άρχισε πριν. Το τεράστιο αστρόπλοίο που πλησιάζει τη Γη το 2110 δεν είναι φτιαγμένο από κάποιο εξωγήινο πολιτισμό αλλά επιστρέφει ακατοίκητο και άδειο από ζωή στον πλανήτη απ'τον οποίο ξεκίνησε δέκα χιλιάδες χρόνια πριν όταν οι κάτοικοι της Ατλαντίδας διέφυγαν με αυτό σε άλλο πλανήτη. Ναι ξέρω, πολύ "τυρί" ιστορία που μόνο κάτοικοι της απέναντι ακτής του Ατλαντικού θα συναρπάζονταν με αυτή. Μουσική πάντα σε Power Metal πεδίο δράσης και με μερικά πολύ ζόρικα κομμάτια σαν τα Coming Home, Starborn, Deadly Sleep, Forces of Rage, Mind Over Matter, Prisoner of the Void, The Battle. Τέλος τα Gorgar των Helloween και Neon Nights των Black Sabbath να διασκευαζονται σαν δύο απ' τα τρία bonus αλλά και το Dragonslayer των αγνώστων Excelsis που βρέθηκε στο CD σαν sampler κομμάτι αφού ήταν νικητές διαγωνισμού της Noise Records και του Piet!

Was it the project that became a band or vice versa?

Piet Sielck, a producer on numerous German scene albums, was once a guitarist in a pioneering band with Kai Hansen long before Helloween existed. In the first self-titled album of "Iron Savior," we saw elements of what this collaboration could have been if Piet had not chosen to work behind the multi-channel studio console. The continuation is this very good album that reunites them with Dan Zimmerman, Kai's partner in Gamma Ray, and Andreas Kück on keyboards, Jan-Sören Eckert on bass, continuing the sci-fi story that started before. The huge spaceship approaching Earth in 2110 isn't made by an alien civilization but returns uninhabited and lifeless to the planet from which it departed ten thousand years ago when the inhabitants of Atlantis escaped to another planet. Yes, I know, a very "cheesy" story that only residents of the opposite shore of the Atlantic would be thrilled with. Always musically in the Power Metal action field with some very tough tracks like "Coming Home," "Starborn," "Deadly Sleep," "Forces of Rage," "Mind Over Matter," "Prisoner of the Void," and "The Battle." Finally, Helloween's "Gorgar" and Black Sabbath's "Neon Knights" are covered as two of the three bonuses, along with "Dragonslayer" by the unknown Excelsis, which appeared on the CD as a sampler piece since they were winners of a Noise Records and Piet competition!
