DAWNRIDER celebrates their 20th anniversary with the
release of their fifth full-length album, **"Five Signs of Malice"**,
on October 3rd at the Keep It True Rising festival. This album features
ultra-heavy riffs and Hammond-style keys, delivering a vintage doom metal
experience with psychedelic elements. Mixed and mastered by Tony Reed, it
maintains a loud yet organic sound. DAWNRIDER's style is reminiscent of bands
like NOMAD SON, BLOOD FARMERS, and REVEREND BIZARRE, drawing inspiration from
genre pioneers such as BLACK SABBATH and DEEP PURPLE.
Vocalist and bass player Filipe Relêgo explains that
the album's lyrics explore the darker aspects of human nature, including
brutality and violence, reflecting on the inherent bestiality within humanity.
