Sunlight: Announce their upcoming album “Son Of The Sun”

 

Athens-based melodic heavy/power metal band Sunlight proudly announces their new album titled "Son Of The Sun," set to be released on Friday, December 6, 2024, via Total Metal Records. This album marks a shift towards a more melodic heavy/power metal style compared to their previous album, "My Own Truth." They recorded it at Devasoundz Studios in Athens, under the guidance of renowned producer Fotis Benardo and mastered by George Nerantzis. Despite challenges from the pandemic and lineup changes, the album was completed in December 2023. Keyboardist Panos Anastasopoulos shares that the album's title "Son Of The Sun" came from a brainstorming session at a local bar. Guitarist Makis Kaponi also recalls positive audience reactions to the new material during a live performance in Sofia, Bulgaria. The band thanks former members for their contributions and collaborated with Brazilian artist Gustavo Sazes for the album cover and Shane Rice for the logo redesign.
