On March 8, 2025, Principal Club Theater in
Thessaloniki hosted a night that many metal fans had been eagerly anticipating.
After a 14-year absence from Greece, the legendary Crimson Glory returned,
supported by the talented Greek band Triumpher.
Triumpher kicked off the evening with a dynamic
performance, playing songs like "Overture to Elysian," "Arrival
of the Avenger," "Athena," "Thunderer," "Storming
the Walls," "Triumpher," "I Wake the Dragon," and
"The Blazing Circle." Their energy and musicianship set a high bar
for the night.
When Crimson Glory took the stage, the excitement was
palpable. They delivered a setlist that included "Valhalla,"
"Dragon Lady," "Lady of Winter," "Where Dragons
Rule," "Painted Skies," "Masque of the Red Death,"
"Queen of the Masquerade," "Burning Bridges," "Chasing
the Hydra," "Triskaideka," "In Dark Places,"
"Eternal World," "Azrael," "Lost Reflection,"
"Lonely," and "Red Sharks." These tracks showcased the
band's enduring legacy and their connection with fans old and new.
However, despite the stellar performances, the concert
was hindered by sound quality issues. Many attendees noted that the audio mix
was less than optimal, with vocals often overshadowed by instruments, making it
challenging to fully appreciate the music. This was particularly evident during
faster, more intricate sections of the songs. While the bands' talents were
undeniable, the technical difficulties prevented the audience from experiencing
the concert to its fullest.
