Ο καλός metal δίσκος φαίνεται από το εξώφυλλο.

Ήταν τα «νόθα» παιδιά των Motörhead, περισσότερο απ’ ό,τι οι Venom, στα τρία πρώτα τους άλμπουμ. Σαν power τρίο στην αρχή και μετά το 1983, και την αποχώρηση των αφων Brabbs, σαν τετράδα με δύο κιθάρες (Cliff Evans, Mick Tucker), παρέα με τον μπασίστα και τραγουδιστή Algy Ward, και με τον ντράμερ Graeme Crallan να συμπληρώνει το καρέ, και τότε να γράφουν αυτό το μικρό έργο μουσικής heavy metal τέχνης.

Όλα τα στοιχεία είναι εδώ: ταχύτητα, riffs, ρυθμοί, στίχοι, ένα από τα πιο αγαπημένα (μου) άλμπουμ της εποχής που το NWOBHM τελείωνε την περίοδο της εφηβείας του. Οι εξίσου ώριμοι πλέον Tank μας δίνουν απλόχερα ύμνο μετά από ύμνο, με τα «The War Drags Ever On», «When All Hell Freezes Over», «Honour and Blood», «Chain of Fools», «Too Tired to Wait for Love», «Kill», και μας απειλούν με τα πέλματα από τις ερπύστριες του άρματος που έρχεται απειλητικά πάνω μας.

A good heavy metal album can be judged by its cover.

They were the "illegitimate" children of Motörhead, more so than Venom, during their first three albums. Initially a power trio, and after 1983, following the departure of the deafening Brabbs, they became a four-piece with two guitars (Cliff Evans, Mick Tucker), alongside bassist and vocalist Algy Ward, with drummer Graeme Crallan completing the lineup. It was then that they created this small masterpiece of heavy metal artistry.

All the essential elements are here: speed, riffs, rhythms, lyrics—one of my favorite albums from the era when NWOBHM was ending, during my teenage years. The now more mature Tank generously deliver hit after hit, with songs like "The War Drags Ever On," "When All Hell Freezes Over," "Honour and Blood," "Chain of Fools," "Too Tired to Wait for Love," and "Kill," threatening us with the treads of the approaching tank, looming ominously over us.
