DARK
FOREST – Dawn of Infinity
Cruz Del Sur Music
The landscape of traditional heavy metal continues to
evolve, with numerous releases that appeal to dedicated fans of the genre.
Among these, British band DARK FOREST offers a notable contribution with their
second album, “Dawn of Infinity”.
The band’s influences appear rooted in the New Wave of
British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM), yet their approach integrates elements
characteristic of U.S. and European power metal, resulting in a distinctive
fusion of styles. The album is characterized by strong melodic lines that are
immediately memorable, complemented by a balanced sound that maintains both
melodic clarity and heaviness.
A comparison that may arise is to the works of CLOVEN
HOOF, partly due to guitarist Christian Horton’s previous involvement with that
band during 2008–2009. “Dawn of Infinity” demonstrates a high level of
craftsmanship, with attention to detail evident throughout the album’s
production.
Overall, the release reflects a mature and
well-crafted effort within the heavy metal genre, which may appeal to listeners
with high expectations for melodic and traditional metal sounds. As always,
individual preferences will vary, but the album offers a noteworthy addition to
the current metal scene.
