REVIEW: RAGING FATE – Mutiny

RAGING FATE – Mutiny

Stormspell Records

The Swedish band RAGING FATE returns with their third studio album, continuing a journey that began as a solo project and has evolved into a fully functional band. This album exudes confidence without concern for originality or esoteric pursuits. Instead, it delivers pure heavy/speed metal, with clear references to the German school of the genre.

Among the nine compositions in the album, the influences from RUNNING WILD during the "Port Royal" era stand out, with galloping riffs and a pirate-themed narrative dominating the sound. Fans of German metal will also recognize elements from GRAVE DIGGER and early BLIND GUARDIAN, characterized by distinctive melodies and a robust aesthetic.

Particular mention should be made of the track “Horror Movie Mania,” where the essence of RUNNING WILD meets the energy of ACCEPT and JUDAS PRIEST in a dynamic combination that highlights RAGING FATE's dedication to the classic values of metal.

For those who cherish this authentic sound, the album is a must-have. Personally, I have already placed my pre-order—this is the sound that resonates with me.
