MERCILESS LAW hails from Chile and is the brainchild of musician and composer Pancho Ireland, who not only lends his vocals but also showcases his instrumental prowess, handling all instruments except the drums. Since their debut in 2022 with "Troops of Steel," the band has exhibited remarkable activity and creativity, culminating in the release of their second album, "The Holy Company," in the same year.

Their latest offering is a compelling EP comprising four meticulously crafted compositions. Notably, the drumming duties on this release are expertly handled by the versatile Cederick Forsberg, a familiar name from prominent bands such as BLAZON STONE and ROCKA ROLLAS.

In this new release, MERCILESS LAW seamlessly continues the sonic journey they embarked on with their debut and second full-length album, demonstrating a profound mastery of the genre. Their sound is fundamentally rooted in melodic and high-octane heavy/power metal, drawing clear inspiration from the vibrant musical landscape of the 1980s.

Upon listening, it becomes evident that the band holds a profound admiration for IRON MAIDEN. However, they skillfully channel this influence through the lens of German heavy/power metal from the '80s. At moments, they evoke the spirit of iconic bands like HEAVEN’S GATE, SCANNER, HELLOWEEN, and perhaps a more melodically nuanced iteration of GRAVE DIGGER. Noteworthy is the atmospheric resonance that, with Cederick Forsberg's participation, subtly echoes the early releases of ROCKA ROLLAS.

In essence, this release boasts impeccable production, dynamic compositions, and an undeniable sense of passion. While it may not necessarily break new ground within the genre, it encapsulates the essential elements that make it a delightful auditory experience for aficionados of melodic speed heavy/power metal.
