SILENT WINTER is a very melodic/symphonic epic power metal
band from Volos, Greece.
This is a five track EP CD with an intro, 3 melodic
power metal anthems and a theatrical outro.
The band delivers high energy power/speed metal in the
vein of bands such as HELLOWEEN and STRATOVARIUS. Imagine great guitar work, excellent
guitar solos, a solid rhythm section, fantastic and decisive work on keyboards,
with a super talented young singer (Mike Livas of FORTRESS UNDER SIEGE, RHODIUM,
KEEPERS ΟF JERICHO, MAIDENANCE (IRON MAIDEN tribute band)) on
top.
This EP is a very tasty appetizer for the upcoming
full album in 2019 and with a nice promotional video made by Bob Katsionis, the
band makes the best moves into building a name and reputation.
The sound production and mixing are superb, as you can
hear every instrument properly and in place, also there are great lyrics
(social messages). I love the digipack packaging of this release and the depressive
yet metal as hell artwork.
