Yes, let's face the truth. Within the realm of metal, there exists a profound fascination with witches. These mythical figures not only inspire our choice of band names but also ignite the creation of lyrics and music. For GRAYWITCH, their name encapsulates it all.

"Children Of Gods" serves as the organic evolution of their debut album from 2021. From the initial listen, it becomes evident that it seamlessly continues their musical journey, while also showcasing the band's ambition to broaden their classic heavy/power metal sound.

However, fear not, they are not delving into excesses. In the track "Odysseus," they introduce the haunting strains of a violin, infusing a folk metal essence. Personally, it evoked memories of the esteemed ELVENKING and the captivating KNIGHT ERRANT. Additionally, "Swansong" resonates deeply with its medieval undertones, captivating even the most fervent BLIND GUARDIAN enthusiast.

Beyond the aforementioned, GRAYWITCH maintains a delicate balance between the realms of heavy and power metal. When traversing the traditional avenues of heavy metal, they exhibit influences from the likes of IRON MAIDEN and JUDAS PRIEST, while their power metal interludes draw inspiration from the likes of RUNNING WILD, STORMWITCH, BLIND GUARDIAN, and GAMMA RAY. Naturally, all these elements are filtered through the band's distinctive style.

In summary, this is an exquisitely crafted release from a band that isn't out to prove anything but rather to create music they wholeheartedly embrace. An album that offers numerous moments of sheer enjoyment and emotional resonance for fans of the genre. Personally, I've already procured my copy of the album...
