Άλλη μια μεταλλική καταιγίδα.

Γενικά ο Udo δεν έχει κακούς δίσκους. Σαν τραγουδιστής και σαν συνθέτης έχει κρατήσει ένα επίπεδο (εκτός από τα ξεκατινιασματα με τους πρώην συνοδοιπόρους του στους Accept βέβαια). Μουσικά έχει από απλώς καλά ως τέλεια άλμπουμ. Αυτό εδώ, το όγδοο άλμπουμ του είναι ένα 7/10, δηλαδή πάνω από καλό αλλά όχι τέλειο. Πάνω από το Man And Machine του 2002 που είναι εξάρι για μένα. Κάτω από το Holy του 1999 που ήταν οχταρι κ.ο.κ.

Στα 00's ξεκίνησαν άλλη μια δεκαετία χαλαρά και σιγά-σιγά έδιναν όλο και πιο δυνατά άλμπουμ. Όταν είχε κυκλοφορήσει μου είχε φανεί "μια απ' τα ίδια" εν πολλοίς, ναι, είναι. Αυτό δεν είναι κακο τελικά. Καλύτερα είναι να βγάζεις σερί τίμια και συμπαγή κατά μεγάλο βαθμό άλμπουμ, παρά ωριαία και βαρετά έπη αλλά με κλιμακούμενο προς τα πίσω και χειρότερο περιεχόμενο (γκουχ-Iron γκουχ-Maiden).

Yet another metal storm. By and large, Udo consistently delivers commendable albums. As both a vocalist and a composer, he has upheld a certain standard, barring the occasional clashes with his former bandmates in Accept. Across his discography, one finds musical offerings ranging from simply good to downright perfection.

His eighth album, this one, earns a solid 7/10 rating – above commendable but not quite flawless. It surpasses the likes of 2002's 'Man And Machine,' which, in my estimation, sits at a six. However, it falls short of the brilliance found in 1999's 'Holy,' rated at an eight, and so forth.

In the 2000s, they embarked on another decade, gradually building up momentum and releasing increasingly robust albums. At its initial release, this album might have seemed like 'more of the same' in many respects, and indeed, it is. Yet, that's not necessarily a negative. It's preferable to consistently produce honest and tightly packed albums rather than sporadic and tedious epics, especially ones with diminishing content (cough-Iron-cough-Maiden).
