Altamira, a Spanish Progressive Death/Groove Metal
band, unveiled their latest single titled "Starcrossed". The track
was recorded at "NewLife Studios" in Madrid, with Daniel Sabugal of
Arwen/Saratoga handling the front of house (FOH) recording, and the mixing/mastering
duties executed by Alejandro Obregon. Formed in Madrid in 2021, Altamira
consists of Alejandro Obregon Bauluz on vocals, Edu Zaballos Cabala on guitars,
Gabriel Serrano on bass, and Jorge Durante on drums. Since their inception, the
band has been actively writing and rehearsing, debuting with live performances
in 2023. Their musical style is a fusion of various influences, spanning from
technical death metal to jazz and soft prog rock, drawing inspiration from
artists such as Opeth, Gojira, Devin Townsend, Pink Floyd, and Steven Wilson.
