Μετά
το προηγούμενο Accident of Birth ένα χρόνο πριν οι κ.κ. Bruce Dickinson και
Adrian Smith, Roy Z, Eddie Cassilas, David Ingraham σε άνοδο και δημιουργικό
οίστρο μας έδωσαν αυτό το αψεγάδιαστο άλμπουμ. King In Crimson, Chemical Wedding, The Tower, Book of
Thel, The Killing Floor, Gates of Urizen, Jerusalem, Trumpets of Jericho, The
Alchemist , δηλαδή το 80% του cd είναι από πολύ καλά κομμάτια. Το μέλλον έλαμπε, καθώς οι δύο μοναχικοί
συνεργάτες από το 1982 στους Iron Maiden, ήθελαν το πολύ ένα χρόνο μέχρι την
επιστροφή τους στο σχήμα που τους ανέδειξε, κάνοντάς μας να πιστέψουμε σε
θαύματα. Αλλά δυστυχώς, κι εκεί πλέον τα χρόνια θα έχουν περάσει.

Oestrus, brimming with creativity yet haunted by
unfulfilled desires.
Following their previous masterpiece, "Accident
of Birth," just a year earlier, Mr. Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith,
joined by Roy Z, Eddie Cassilas, and David Ingraham, unleashed upon us this
flawless album fueled by a surge of creative passion. Tracks like "King In
Crimson," "Chemical Wedding," "The Tower," "Book
of Thel," "The Killing Floor," "Gates of Urizen,"
"Jerusalem," "Trumpets of Jericho," and "The
Alchemist" comprise an astonishing 80% of the CD, each a testament to
their musical prowess. The future seemed radiant as these two longstanding
collaborators from their Iron Maiden days, yearned to recapture the magic of
their past, instilling in us a belief in the extraordinary. Yet, alas, even in
that pursuit, time will have inevitably marched on.
