On Saturday, May 25th, 2024, Thessaloniki’s Principal
Club Theater was electrified by the presence of the legendary Glenn Hughes, who
took the stage to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Deep Purple’s iconic album
“BURN.” The atmosphere was charged with excitement as fans filled the venue,
eagerly anticipating a night of rock nostalgia.
The evening commenced with George Gakis & The
Troublemakers, delivering a powerful set that perfectly set the stage for the
main event. Their 70’s influenced rock and hard rock sound, reminiscent of
WHITESNAKE, had the crowd rocking from the start. Highlights from their
performance included tracks from their latest album “Parallel Dimensions” and a
spirited cover of WHITESNAKE’s “Cryin’ In The Rain.” Their energetic
performance proved to be a fitting prelude to the legendary Glenn Hughes.
As the lights dimmed and the anticipation reached its
peak, Glenn Hughes took the stage amidst roaring applause. Despite the years,
his voice and stage presence remained as powerful and captivating as ever. With
