DISBOKATOR – Terror in Dreamland EP

In our days we experience
many difficult situations around the world that make you think that the world
we live in is in danger every moment by some lunatic or by mad driven
politicians that their only beliefs lie upon Machiavelli’s teachings. Our
planet is a dreamland and there is no doubt about it, however there are many
horrors and terrors that live within it.
THE COVER: On the cover of the CD you can see a grey sky and also some
closed female eyes and a giant spider upon them. I think that it is a cover
that depicts in a way the title of the release. Spiders always cause horror to
most of the people and they are also a symbolism of the way that life and
people set you traps in which you can fall and never be free.
MUSICAL STYLE: DISBOKATOR were created in 2012 in Toscana, Italy and
their will was and still is to create thrash metal music. This is their first
work and includes 4 tracks of thrash metal that has its roots in the 80’s and
mainly in the U.S. metal scene. Their rifffing and the way that they build
their songs reminded me strongly of early TESTAMENT, but you can also find
influences from such bands like ANTHRAX and METALLICA. DISBOKATOR show in this
release that it is a well bonded band that works on professional standards and
they try to give their own interpretation to their influences and they do it
quite successfully most of the times.
CONCLUSION: DISBOKATOR play loud and clear old school thrash metal
and this means that if you are into this kind of sound you can check them out.
You will have the chance to find a new and very talented band.
