“Czornaja Cvil” is VIETAH’s fourth studio
release coming only a year after “Tajemstvy Noczy” proving that the mastermind
behind this group is a prolific songwriter that intensifies his pace after a
four year gap between his sophomore and third work.
Now, for those who don’t
know much about this band let me clear out that it’s a one man band, it’s the
sole vision of Antarctis, who composes and orchestrates the songs, while he
also plays all the instruments and does the vocals. The band belongs to what we
call atmospheric black metal and its sound encompasses all we know relevant to
this sound. This means that the atmosphere is dark and gloomy, the guitars are
heavy and thick, depression and sadness are vibrating within every note and the
vocals do their best to enhance the coldness, bitterness and melancholy of the
songs, while at the same time enriching the extremity and aggressive touch of
the compositions. “Czornaja Cvil” is a generic atmospheric black metal release
which makes it ideal for the fans of the genre and for those who want to get
immersed in a blackened and bleak atmosphere. It definitely won’t disappoint
those who are looking for sounds to accompany them during the cold, dark winter
days…
