TREMONTI to Release Sixth Studio Album

 

Mark Tremonti, renowned guitarist/vocalist/songwriter, is set to release his sixth solo album with his band TREMONTI, titled *The End Will Show Us How*, on January 10, 2025, via Napalm Records. This album features 12 original compositions that demonstrate his ongoing musical evolution and songwriting prowess, a talent he's honed over nearly three decades. TREMONTI's lineup includes Eric Friedman (guitars), Tanner Keegan (bass), and Ryan Bennett (drums). Each track on the album offers a unique musical journey. HELPLESS AGONY release debut album

 

HELPLESS AGONY, an American death metal band from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, released their debut album "Universal Deterioration." The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Don Belch at Preylude Studios in New Oxford, PA. Formed in 2024 by Ron Sowal (vocals, guitars), the band initially included Ethan Migala and Cliff Sawdy for live performances. However, Migala and Sawdy later departed, leaving Ron Sowal as the sole member of the band.

DBF Driven By Fire release new single

 

German Heavy/Progressive Metal band DBF Driven By Fire released their new single "Phoenix Fire," featuring backing vocals by Jonas Gottsleben. The track was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Jan Listing at Azure Audio. Formed in 2023 by Daniel Gottsleben as a one-man project, DBF Driven By Fire has released three singles: "Dreamhunter" (2023), "Rage & Fury" (2024), and "Phoenix Fire" (2024). Currently, the band is working on an instrumental version of "Rage & Fury."

Επανένωση που περίμενες πολλά απ' αυτήν.

Μια μπάντα που περιπλανιόταν σε διάφορες ηχητικά περιοχές. Το E.P. τους Tyrants όπως και το θαυμαστό ντεμπούτο τους Ample Destruction πίσω στα 80s, έθεσαν τις βάσεις. Μετά όμως τα πράγματα πήραν κακή τροπή. Το  δεύτερο πλήρες αλμπουμ τους αν και ηχογραφήθηκε το 1988 δεν είδε το φως του λέϊζερ (στα CD Players προφανώς) ως το 2004 αφού μόνο σαν πειρατικό bootleg υπήρχε. Η επαναφορά της μπάντας ήρθε στα 90s με το  εκτρωματικό Dissident Alliance  που αντί για Heavy Metal παίζουν κάτι μεταξύ Thrash με Groove. Τί έσωσε το όνομα τους; Μα η επιστροφή του τραγουδιστή τους σε Ε.Ρ. και Ample... του κυρίου Harry "Tyrant" Conklin και με το demo τους το 1996 η Century Media τους πήρε στο roster της. Ένα χρόνο μετά ήρθε η τέταρτη κυκλοφορία τους και φυσική συνέχεια των Ample Destruction και Chain Of Command (το οποίο ακόμη δεν είχε κυκλοφορήσει επίσημα απ' το '88) με αυτό το κάπως μοντέρνο για τα παλιομοδίτικα γούστα του κοινού τους άλμπουμ. Πάντως αν και δεν το βάζω τόσο ψηλά όσο τα 80s άλμπουμ τους, είναι μια νέα  προσπάθεια πολύ τίμια να ξεκινήσει πάλι το συγκρότημα. Με την ευκαιρία οι άλλοι τέσσερις εδώ είναι οι Mark Briody & Joey Tafola κιθάρες, John Tetley μπάσο και Rikard Stjernquist ντραμς. Αυτή η επανέκδοση του δίσκου έχει (πάλι καλά) άλλο εξωφύλλο μιας κι εκείνο με τον γονατιστό ανθρώπο μπροστά στις δύο πύλες φωτιάς, έζεχνε χάλι ποιότητα του Photoshop της εποχής! Εν πάση περιπτώσει, έχουμε και τα τρία κομμάτια του demo σαν bonus στο CD αυτό αλλά και τα κλασικά πλέον Black,  Call of the Wild, Future Shock, Ready to Strike (επανεκτέλεση από τα παλιά), Tyranny, Shadow Thief (άλλο ένα χαμένο κομμάτι εποχής Chain of Command) και Judgment Day.

The reunion you had high expectations for.

A band that wandered through various musical territories. Their EP, *Tyrants*, along with their remarkable debut, *Ample Destruction*, in the 80s, laid the foundation. However, things took a turn for the worse. Although their second full album was recorded in 1988, it didn't see the light of day (on CD players) until 2004, having only existed as a pirated bootleg.

The band's comeback in the 90s with the dreadful *Dissident Alliance* deviated from Heavy Metal, playing a mix of Thrash and Groove instead. What saved their name? The return of their vocalist from the *E.P.* and *Ample...*, Mr. Harry "Tyrant" Conklin. With their 1996 demo, Century Media signed them to their roster. A year later, their fourth release came out, a natural continuation of *Ample Destruction* and *Chain Of Command* (which still hadn’t been officially released since '88). This album had a somewhat modern sound compared to the old-fashioned tastes of their audience. While I don’t rank it as high as their 80s albums, it was an earnest attempt to restart the band.

By the way, the other four members here are Mark Briody and Joey Tafolla on guitars, John Tetley on bass, and Rikard Stjernquist on drums. Fortunately, this reissue of the album has a different cover since the original one, with a kneeling man in front of two gates of fire, reeked of poor quality Photoshop from that era! Anyway, this CD includes the three demo tracks as a bonus along with the now-classic *Black*, *Call of the Wild*, *Future Shock*, *Ready to Strike* (a re-recording of an old track), *Tyranny*, *Shadow Thief* (another lost track from the *Chain of Command* era), and *Judgment Day*.
