1. Hello. First of all my congratulations on “Zeppelin
over Chernobyl”. How do you feel about it? Is there anything that you would
like to have done differently?
Hi! Thank you so much. Feel quite good
about. It has some best stuff we have done so far. I quess there is always
something you could have done differently but there is five guys in the band,
so you cant always get what you want.
2. The cover of
your new album has straight references to LED ZEPELIN’s debut album. Why did
you do that?
EPs name is Zeppelin Over Chernobyl and the
cover is exactly that. Simple and sweet.
3. One other thing that I have noticed is the love
that the band has for pictures referring to the Soviet Union. Why do you do
that? Do you want to provoke people or is it simple nostalgia?
It started as a joke and stuck around. It’s
basically like a theme for the band but maybe next time it will be Bulgaria.
Who knows?
4. Based on the previous question let me continue and
ask you; We all know how communism suppressed people in the Soviet Union, but
how free is a person in the free west world?
Oh, man. Maybe we should keep away from
politics. All politics suppress people.
5. Why did you choose this time “Chernobyl” on the
title of your new EP?
Because it rhymes. It was quite catchy name.
6. Are there any new elements or a different approach
on how you composed the songs in your new EP? Can you tell us a few things
about it?
Well, our keyboard player Tomi played the
first time as a permanent member on this EP. So there is more hammond and moog
in the songs but overall approach was basically the same.
7. I am also interested in your lyrics and especially
of the one entitled “Way High Tsar”. So in a few words please give us a hint
about the lyrical content of each song.
First there is a title and then you just
start writing some kind of story or put sentences together in line. Catchy
title is quite important. Lyrics in our case aren`t that serious. That kind of
sums it up.
8. I have seen many hard rock and heavy metal bands in
our days trying to be politically correct in order not to offend or lose any
audience. What do you think about it? Have you ever tried to be politically
correct when you write music or lyrics?
One word: No. Our CD covers have Soviet
Union theme. So there goes politics.
9. If I asked you to do a best of compilation of the
songs that you have composed so far, which ones would you choose and why?
Tough question. I think we all have
different favorites. Probably something from every EP we have done.
10. Thanks for your time answering my questions. Wish
you all the best. Please close the interview in any way you like…
Thank you for your time and support. Check out the new EP and hope you enjoy it,
everybody.
