Πρώτο μέρος του ψύχους.

Παγιδευμένη μεταξύ Thrash κι Epic Metal η ταυτότητα του πολυοργανίστα και συνθέτη Thomas "Quorthon" Forsberg μετά το άλμπουμ της επανόδου, Destroyer of Worlds που ήταν χρυσή τομή ανάμεσα σε "σκότος και πάγο" αποφάσισε να μας χαρίσει μια τετραλογία άλμπουμ καθαρά δομημένη στο επικό Viking περιεχόμενο με αρχή  αυτό το άλμπουμ. Η ιστορία είναι γνωστή ο Quorthon πέθανε μόλις 38 χρόνων από ανακοπή μετά το δεύτερο μέρος του saga αυτού. Μάθαμε λίγο μετά ότι ήταν πάντα καρδιοπαθής κάτι που έκρυβε πίσω από δικαιολογίες κι απίθανα ψέματα και ιστορίες ακόμη και για το πραγματικό του ονοματεπώνυμο ή  για το ποιοί είναι οι μουσικοί με τους οποίους έγραψε στην αρχή των Bathory. Η παράξενη αλήθεια  αυτή  κρυβόταν πίσω απ' το γεγονός ότι το "συγκρότημα", έστω και με session μουσικούς,  ουδέποτε έκανε ζωντανές εμφανίσεις! Το πρώτο Nordland με αυτό το πρίσμα είναι ένα θεματικό άλμπουμ για τον νορδικο κόσμο των θεών, τεράτων και δοξασιών των χωρών του σκανδιναβικού κόσμου. Με καλύτερα σημεία του τα Nordland, Vinterblot, Dragon's Breath, Ring Of Gold, Forevendark Woods,  Broken Swords, Mother Earth Father Thunder να σε ταξιδεύουν σε παγωμένους κόσμους του σκοτεινού παραμυθιού της γης του βορά. First Part of the Frost.

Caught between Thrash and Epic Metal, the identity of the multi-instrumentalist and composer Thomas "Quorthon" Forsberg, after the comeback album Destroyer of Worlds, which was the golden mean between "darkness and ice," decided to give us a tetralogy of albums purely structured on epic Viking content, starting with this album. The story is well-known: Quorthon died at just 38 years old from cardiac arrest after the second part of this saga. We learned shortly after that he had always been a heart patient, something he hid behind excuses, improbable lies, and stories, even about his real name or the musicians he wrote with at the beginning of Bathory. This strange truth was hidden behind the fact that the "band," even with session musicians, never made live appearances! The first Nordland from this perspective is a thematic album about the Nordic world of gods, monsters, and legends of the Scandinavian countries. With its highlights being Nordland, Vinterblot, Dragon's Breath, Ring of Gold, Foreverdark Woods, Broken Swords, and Mother Earth Father Thunder, it takes you on a journey to the frozen worlds of the dark fairy tale of the northern land.
