Icelandic Dark Metal band SORG released their new
album «Draugar». The release was recorded, mixed and mastered at "Galdr
Studios" by Víðir "Mýrmann" Thrastarson.
SORG was formed as a one-man project by Icelandic
painter, musician and philosopher - Víðir "Mýrmann" Thrastarson. The
influence is a variety of disparate rock and metal genres, and contains
interest in alchemy, romanticism,
folklore, philosophy and history.
In 2022 Ari Harðarson (guitar) and Freyr Hreinsson (vocals) joined the band
making it a full lineup band.
The 5th album entitled “Origins of Hate”, released on
October 31st, 2022, brings nine new tracks, a refreshed lineup, an
uncompromising attitude and precise execution, with tunes that are tailored for
an intense listening experience. The album is mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren
(Fascination Street Studios). The Artwork for the album is the result of our
close collaboration with Gustavo Sazes (Abstrata) and fits the mood and feel of
the album perfectly. With its dedication to Music, compositions and performance
Infernal Tenebra is the true monument of Croatian Extreme Metal Music.
Five years after the release of "Heavy Metal
Thunderpicking" the four knights from the ancient county of Gradisca
d'Isonzo (Gorizia) return to rekindle the flames of the forge to create a new
album.
There will be ten tracks included in the new album, nine of
which are unreleased plus a reinterpretation of the song "Stone
River", the band's historic anthem now unavailable on the market. This
work represents a big step forward in terms of composition of the band and, in
addition to further technical growth, it is worth mentioning the new four-man
formation with the presence of two singers who will take turns within the disc.
The beautiful cover was created by Manuel Scalpinello (Gates Of Doom), a friend
of the band and an artist of great value, who perfectly reproduced the soul and
heart of the new album by the four horsemen.
So a new job and a new beginning for the band which since
2000 has continued to tread the stages and offer its epic and powerful sound.
May the fire of the forges burn high, the SACRO ORDINE DEI
CAVALIERI DI PARSIFAL is back!
Available from April 10 in deluxe CD digipack and on all
digital stores.

Patrick
Schmidt, the one man band releases his second full-length German based melodic
death metal based that has some pretty sick metal! The tempos are slow on all 7 tracks, but they
are filled with emotion! They remind me
a lot of Dissection, In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, et al.But there is a sort of echo and aura to the
band. It's wholly dark but the riffs are
the highlight to me!The vocals have
some kick to them shouting like Jon from Dissection (RIP).That's what they remind me of totally. This
guy (Patrick) is totally dedicated to his genre of metal. And he has some unique riffs.I liked this whole album.Only 7 songs but 44 minutes in length.
At least with their celebrated last masterpiece
"Metal Division" and chart successes in several countries (including
#20 in the official Top 100 German album charts), MYSTIC PROPHECY belong to the
spearhead of international Heavy Metal. They are one of the most successful
acts of the genre on digital platforms and with several hundred thousand
followers on Spotify. At their live shows they prove again and again that they
understand Heavy Metal as a passionate ultimate fight. And with their new album
"Hellriot" they pick up where they left off with "Metal
Divison": Powerful concise hooks with shout-along factor, hard-hitting and
monstrous sound paired with technically brilliant riffs, all refined by a
powerful modern production that is second to none and makes the band so popular
and unique. In short: With “Hellriot”, MYSTIC PROPHECY deliver brilliantly and
make every Heavy Metal heart beating merciless faster!
