Τώρα μιλάμε!

Πρόσφατα, σχετικά, χάσαμε και τον Ελληνοαμερικανό Bill Tsamis, δυστυχώς, βασικό συνθέτη, κιθαρίστα και εν γένει την προσωπικότητα πίσω από τους Warlord. Αυτό είναι το δημιούργημά του. Πρόσφατα, το σχήμα με την «αρχηγία» του ντράμερ Mark Zonder δραστηριοποιήθηκε πάλι, αλλά αυτό είναι ένα πολύ πονεμένο θέμα.

Και τι δημιούργημα! Ο συγκεκριμένος δίσκος προσπαθεί να θυμίζει τις εποχές του "Deliver Us", και νομίζω ότι τα κατάφερε χωρίς καν να απαιτήσει μεγάλο κόπο. Είναι επίσης και πολύ πιο συμπαγές σαν άλμπουμ, τουλάχιστον σε σύγκριση με τον προκάτοχό του με τον Joakim Cans (Hammerfall) στο μικρόφωνο.

Οι Richard M. Anderson στη φωνή και ο μπασίστας Philip Bynoe συμπληρώνουν τη σύνθεση του συγκροτήματος, και δεν μπορώ να είμαι απόλυτα αντικειμενικός. Είναι πιο Warlord-like δίσκος, αλλά παρόλα αυτά, όπως και να το κάνουμε, η εποχή τους είχε ήδη περάσει, κατατάσσοντάς τους στη σφαίρα του cult ήχου!

Σαν αντιπροσωπευτικές στιγμές μένουν τα «70000 Sorrows», «Thy Kingdom Come», «Glory», «City Walls of Troy» και φυσικά η επίσημη ηχογράφηση του χαμένου ύμνου τους, «Father», που δίνουν το έναυσμα. Μαζί με τα «Kill Zone», «Night Of The Fury» και «The Holy Empire», που το τερματίζουν.

Now we're talking!

Recently, we unfortunately lost the Greek-American Bill Tsamis, a key songwriter, guitarist, and overall the personality behind Warlord. This is his creation. Recently, the band, with drummer Mark Zonder as the leader, has reactivated, but that is a very sensitive subject.

And what a creation! This particular album tries to evoke the era of "Deliver Us," and I think it succeeded without requiring much effort. It’s also much more solid as an album, at least compared to its predecessor with Joakim Cans (Hammerfall) on vocals.

Richard M. Anderson on vocals and bassist Philip Bynoe complete the lineup, and I can't be completely objective. It’s a more Warlord-like record, but nonetheless, their era had already passed, placing them in the realm of cult sound!

Representative tracks include “70,000 Sorrows,” “Thy Kingdom Come,” “Glory,” “City Walls of Troy,” and of course their official recording of the lost hymn, “Father,” which sets the tone. Along with “Kill Zone,” “Night Of The Fury,” and “The Holy Empire,” which bring it to a close.
