The
Andalusian metal band RedFace has unveiled their latest music video for the
song "FaithLess," which is part of their upcoming album titled
"First Blood," set to release in the first half of 2024. Following
their previous single, "The Paradox of the Blind," "FaithLess"
continues to showcase RedFace's signature blend of death metal, metalcore,
groove, and influences from the early 90s and early 2000s. Their music is
characterized by profound lyrics that delve into the contradictions and
miseries of humanity.
Formed
in 2022, RedFace draws inspiration from the extreme variants of metal,
particularly the melodic death metal scene originating in Sweden in the early
90s. However, their distinctive element lies in infusing their music with the
passion and emotions depicted in their lyrics, creating a powerful expression
of mindset. Their live performances foster a strong connection between the band
and the audience.
Their
debut single, "The Paradox of the Blind," released in 2022, received
acclaim from both fans and critics, earning them a spot at the Al-Alma Music
Fest alongside bands like Crisix, Aphonnic, and Fausto Taranto. In 2023, they
were finalists in the "Botijuela Rock" band contest. "First
Blood," their first album, has been mixed and mastered by Alex Cappa at
Metropol Studios and will be accompanied by a presentation tour, as well as
additional singles and music videos prior to its release.
RedFace's music is born from a profound rejection of humanity's destructive tendencies, serving as a lament for the species' capacity for destruction outweighing its capacity for creation. Their lyrics reflect a sense of hopelessness, mourning the loss of love replaced by hatred and the agony of a species consumed by greed. It invites listeners into a realm of despair, echoing the sentiment of finding solace in mourning, as referenced in Matthew 5:4.
