HATECRIME

HATECRIME is a death/black metal band from Saint-Petersburg, Russia. The band was founded in September2013. The musicians of the band had been played in such extreme music bands like Serpents, Exhumation etc. before that.

Until now we have released a demo "The Birth...Death", Internet singles "I'm Tolerant", «1984» and a full-length album entitled «A War, That doesn’t Existе» (Label  PutridCult и PlutoNSRising). The band has given successful concerts on various stages in Saint-Petersburg and also in other different cities and few countries since 2014.

Now we have completed the new material for recording the second full-length album.

This sophomore release by ARCHSPIRE I feel was rated unfairly.  For being a technical death metal act, this release to me hits home with a "B" average.  It's blindingly fast and furious and hate in the vocals.  All the tracks on here I thought were noteworthy as well as super technical on the guitars/drums. The vocals are wicked as well. Not only do you get deep throat there are some screaming going on as well. The music is just furious. Nothing on here is boring or without significance. There are some milder guitar mixed in here but not extensively. It's enough to give the album variety and poise. This being a second album really is quite an achievement.

This one is a combination of 'Blizzard Beasts' (blackened thrash metal), 'At The Heart of Winter' and 'All Shall Fall'. It has total blackened thrash vibe to the whole album and Demonaz does a good job sounding like Abbath. A definitely great album, well decidedly that, an excellent effort. They have shown us something quite fresh and not to mention DARK. But what would you expect? It's IMMORTAL, they're notorious for music that is grim and depressing. It's cool however, because their rhythm guitar is what's so strong about them and in this release it's a bit of a raw production sound. That's what takes it back to 'Blizzard Beasts' only it's not as raw.
