Άνθρωποι που λόγω κάποιου ταλέντου ή εμφάνισης, προερχόμενοι από φτωχές οικογένειες, καταφέρνουν να κάνουν το όνειρο τους πραγματικότητα και να ζήσουν μέσα στο γκλάμουρ, τα λεφτά και τη δόξα. Νιώθουν ότι ξέφυγαν από το μίζερο σύστημα που έκανε τους γονείς τους εργαζόμενους που πάλευαν για την επιβίωση. Άνθρωποι κενοί, που μετρούν τα πάντα με το χρήμα και χρησιμοποιούν τους άλλους ως αντικείμενα για τους δικούς τους σκοπούς, αντιλαμβάνονται στο τέλος ότι είναι γρανάζια ενός χειρότερου συστήματος που με την πρώτη "στραβή" τους πετάει και τους φτύνει.

A band that started in 1977, an era that heavy metal music was starting to grow little by little, and still is active and releases albums... Well this is an achievement that is worth to be admired. In all these years the hardest task to achieve is to create music that won’t get astray from the original sound of the band and yet to evolve and sound fresh. It is something that very few have achieved, especially if you consider that inspiration doesn’t come on demand. One band that has achieved this is SAXON and I think that ZARPA can say that have achieved the same thing.

Ο Ρίτσαρντ Μάθεσον εμπνευσμένος από τον Δράκουλα του Μπραμ Στόκερ έγραψε το "Ζωντανό Θρύλο" όπου περιέγραφε έναν κόσμο που κυριαρχούσαν το Βαμπίρ. Με τον τρόπο αυτό πρόσφερε και κάτι νέο στο είδος αυτό. Ο Τζορτζ Ρομέρο αρχικά ήθελε να κάνει ταινία το παραπάνω βιβλίο, αλλά χρησιμοποιώντας το ως έμπνευση μας παρουσίασε τα ζόμπι με την πρώτη του ταινία "Νύχτα των ζωντανών νεκρών". ο Στήβεν Κινγκ δεν κρύβει ότι εμπνεύστηκε από αυτούς τους 2 και τη συμπεριφορά των ανθρώπων όταν κάνουν χρήση κινητών τηλεφώνων και δημιούργησε αυτό το βιβλίο. Οι νεκροί του Κίνγκ είναι εγκεφαλικά νεκροί, αλλά το ίδιο επικίνδυνου με τους βρικόλακες και τα ζόμπι. Το βιβλίο χωρίς πολλά πολλά διαβάζεται γρήγορα και είναι συναρπαστικό. Επίσης δείχνει ότι ο Κίνγκ όταν θέλει να γράψει καθαρό τρόμο χωρίς λογοτεχνικές ανησυχίες, το κάνει με πολύ καλό και μάλιστα πολύ λογοτεχνικό τρόπο, χωρίς να κουράζει η να "ξεχειλώνει" τις ιδέες του όπως έχει την τάση να κάνει σε κάποια άλλα βιβλία του. Προσωπικά θεωρώ το παρόν βιβλίο μια από τις πολύ καλές και δυνατές του στιγμές ως συγγραφέα τρόμου που αξίζει να διαβάσετε, αν δεν το έχετε κάνει ήδη. Να σημειώσω ότι το βιβλίο πρόσφατα έγινε και ταινία.

This is a kind of release that we are not used to in our webzine. From 2001 that we started this webzine few were the releases of this genre that we have presented here. The band’s style is described as experimental avant garde music and sincerely I don’t know what exactly these terms mean. Anyway in art and of course in music are either things that you like or leave you indifferent.

This may be a new band making its debut appearance with their self titled twelve track album, but the sextet comprising it are no newcomers. In fact all of them have big credentials in the Greek metal scene since for a long time they’ve participated in some of the most famous bands all over the metal spectrum, from aggressive to more melodic with emphasis though on the more aggressive part. This sentence alone can stand as a clear hint as to what you have to expect here with “Blackdrawn”.

I do appreciate the sound that HELLOWEEN have created with their music, but the German metal sound I like was forged by bands like ACCEPT, GRAVE DIGGER and RUNNING WILD. I mean I do like the rough sound mixed with catchy melodies and sing along choruses. It is also true that we have plenty of bands that have been influenced by the HELLOWEEN sound, but not so many from the other genre. So, in 2010 when GLORYFUL introduced themselves to me with their demo and later on with their debut album, I was happy to find out that there are still musicians in Germany that appreciate the teachings of ACCEPT, RUNNING WILD and GRAVE DIGGER.

I like it when bands don’t rush things and WOLFHOWL definitely don’t. This one man band hailing us from the beautiful Ioanian island of Kefalonia is here four years after the debut EP, “My Return to the Mountains”, with its sophomore EP containing four tracks and clocking in approximately 21 minutes.
