Η Ελίνα Εγγλέζου και ο Bob Katsionis  μετά την επιτυχημένη συνεργασία που είχαν για την ροκ όπερα Goditha, σαλπάρουν με το πειρατικό σε ένα πολύ αξιόλογο Concept άλμπουμ συμφωνικού Metal επιχειρώντας να διασχίσουν με επιτυχία άγνωστα νερά για το Ελληνικό ιδίωμα.

Συνήθως τέτοιου είδους δουλειές εμπεριέχουν μεγάλο ρίσκο καθώς απαιτούν αρκετή προσπάθεια, συντονισμό τόσο στην παραγωγή όσο και στις συνθέσεις των κομματιών έτσι ώστε το όλο εγχείρημα να εξελίσσεται ομαλά και παρά την συμμετοχή πολλών καλλιτεχνών κάθε κομμάτι να έχει προσωπικότητα, χαρακτήρα και ύφος.

Με lineup, αποτελούμενο από τους Γιάννη Παπανικολάου (Diviner), Στράτη Steele (Endomain), Μάριο Καραναστάση (The Silent Wedding), Χρήστο Κουνέλη (Disharmony), Μιχάλη Λίβα (aka Mike Lee των Silent Winter), Ιλιάνα Τσακιράκη (Enemy of Reality), Fany Melfi Antoniou (Septic Flesh) σε ότι αφορά τους ήρωες του Concept που πλαισιώνονται από τους Βασίλη Κοιλάκο (Φλάουτο) και Angelo Pavlos (Night of the Desecration) στο βιολί, το αποτέλεσμα είναι αν μη τι άλλο εντυπωσιακό.

 Οι συνθέσεις της Ελίνας Εγγλέζου (μπαλαλάικα, Οκαρίνα πέραν από την συμμετοχή της στα φωνητικά), η αψεγάδιαστη παραγωγή και τις ενορχηστρώσεις του Bob Katsionis (μπάσο, κιθάρες, keyboards, drum programming) συντελούν σε ένα πολύ άρτιο σύνολο. Ο ακροατής απολαμβάνει ένα μουσικό ταξίδι πλούσιο σε ιστορίες με φολκλόρ περιεχόμενο εμπλουτισμένο με στοιχεία φαντασίας και τρόμου. ‘Όλα αυτά σε ένα πλαίσιο μελωδικών συνθέσεων με έντονο λυρισμό, μουσικότητα και αφήγηση της ιστορίας μέσα από τις φωνές των ηρώων αυτού του ιδιότυπου μουσικού θιάσου.

Εξαιρετική δουλειά σε ένα υπέροχο Concept δίσκο που αξίζει να έχετε στην συλλογή σας.

Elina Englezou and Bob Katsionis, following their successful collaboration on the rock opera "Goditha," set sail with their pirate ship on a highly noteworthy symphonic metal concept album, venturing into uncharted waters for the Greek music scene. Such projects usually entail significant risk as they require considerable effort and coordination both in production and composition, ensuring that the entire endeavor progresses smoothly. Despite the involvement of many artists, each track must maintain its own personality, character, and style.

With a lineup featuring Giannis Papanikolaou (Diviner), Stratis Steele (Endomain), Marios Karanastasis (The Silent Wedding), Christos Kounelis (Disharmony), Michalis Livas (aka Mike Lee of Silent Winter), Iliana Tsakiraki (Enemy of Reality), and Fany Melfi Antoniou (Septic Flesh) representing the concept's heroes, accompanied by Vasilis Koilakos (flute) and Angelo Pavlos (Night of the Desecration) on violin, the result is nothing short of impressive.

Elina Englezou's compositions (balalaika, ocarina, in addition to her vocal contributions), along with Bob Katsionis' flawless production and arrangements (bass, guitars, keyboards, drum programming), contribute to a highly polished ensemble. The listener embarks on a musical journey rich in folklore stories, enhanced with elements of fantasy and horror. All this is presented within a framework of melodic compositions marked by intense lyricism, musicality, and the narration of the story through the voices of the heroes in this unique musical ensemble.

An excellent work on a wonderful concept album that deserves a place in your collection.
