Έχουμε συνδεθεί με το μέλλον.

Το έχουν αποκαλέσει τη χρήση τομής μεταξύ Crossover και Thrash Metal. Το τρίτο άλμπουμ των Καναδών είναι πολύ περισσότερα από αυτή τη φράση. Το στοιχείο της επιστημονικής φαντασίας, που υπήρχε και στα δύο προηγούμενα άλμπουμ τους, εκεί σαν τυχαίες λέξεις σε στίχους και βεβαίως σαν εξώφυλλο, εδώ κατακλύζει τον δίσκο. Ένα ζοφερό, μετα-κατακλυσμιαίο μέλλον γεμάτο μηχανές που κυριεύουν κάθε πτυχές της ανθρώπινης ζωής, το λέει σχεδόν προφητικό. Μουσικά, όπως αναφέρθηκε πιο πάνω, εξακολουθεί να ισχύει ότι είναι πιο ωμό παρά τεχνικό, μια μίξη Punk με Thrash, με το ποσοστό να κλίνει προς το πρώτο. Πάντως, ένα λιθαράκι είναι η καθαρότερη παραγωγή σε σχέση, τουλάχιστον, με το Rrröööaaarrr ένα χρόνο πριν. Το προτιμώ κι εγώ περισσότερο. Για να είμαι ακριβής, η εποχή από το επόμενο Dimension Hatröss και μετά είναι οι Voivod που έχω συνηθίσει, αλλά και εδώ γίνονται τα πρώτα βήματα. Η "ατεχνοσύνη" που ελλοχεύει μέσα σε κομμάτια όπως το Killing Technology, Overreaction, Tornado, Too Scared to Scream, Forgotten in Space, This is Not an Exercise, Order of the Blackguards, είτε είναι τεχνητή είτε όχι, σίγουρα προσθέτει μια ατμόσφαιρα cult στο όλο πλαίσιο του δίσκου.

We have connected with the future.

It has been described as a fusion of Crossover and Thrash Metal. However, the Canadian band's third album is much more than that phrase suggests. The element of science fiction, which appeared in both of their previous albums—sometimes as random words in the lyrics and, of course, on the cover—here floods the entire record. A bleak, post-apocalyptic future filled with machines dominating every aspect of human life—it's almost prophetic. Musically, as mentioned earlier, it still holds true that the album is more raw than technical, a blend of Punk and Thrash, with a tendency leaning towards the former. Nonetheless, one significant improvement is the cleaner production, at least compared to Rrröööaaarrr a year earlier. I personally prefer this one more. To be precise, from the era of the next Dimension Hatröss onward, I’ve become accustomed to the Voivod sound, but even here, they are taking their first steps. The “clumsiness” lurking within tracks like Killing Technology, Overreaction, Tornado, Too Scared to Scream, Forgotten in Space, This is Not an Exercise, Order of the Blackguards—whether artificial or not—certainly adds a cult atmosphere to the overall feel of the record.
