Η Metal, έχουμε ξαναπεί, είναι κάτι σαν η κλασική μουσική του 20ού αιώνα. Αυτό το άλμπουμ, μια συνεργασία των Rage, μέσα στη δεύτερη χρυσή εποχή τους με τη συμφωνική ορχήστρα της Πράγας, αποτελεί μια ιδιαίτερη περίπτωση, καθώς αποτελεί έναν ειδικό δίσκο. Δεν θα είναι η πρώτη φορά που οι ελληνογερμανοί τότε Rage (Wagner, Fischer, αδέρφια Ευθυμιάδη) θα συνεργαστούν με τη συγκεκριμένη συμφωνική ορχήστρα. Τόσο στα κανονικά άλμπουμ XIII (1998) και Ghosts (1999), όσο και στο δεύτερο κλασικό άλμπουμ, που θα έχει τη μορφή Revisited, σε αυτό το πρώτο (λίγα χρόνια πριν), θα υπάρχει κλασική βοήθεια μέσα στα κανονικά κομμάτια των δίσκων.

Εδώ, στη "Γλώσσα του Νεκρού", όπως μεταφράζεται ο τίτλος, έχουμε το αντίστροφο: η ορχήστρα μπαίνει στα κομμάτια των Rage. Τα "In A Nameless Time", "Alive But Dead", το medley με τα "Don't Fear the Winter / Black In Mind / Firestorm / Sent By the Devil / Lost In The Ice" και το "All This Time" μεταμορφώνονται σε έργα κλασικής και ταυτόχρονα ηλεκτρικής μουσικής. Για λίγους μόνο, πάντως, σε σχέση με άλλα αντίστοιχα άλμπουμ που έγιναν μόδα τότε ή αργότερα (όπως το S&M των Metallica), το μουσικό αποτέλεσμα εδώ δεν κουράζει!

An fusion of two different types of classical music.

As we have said before, Metal is something like the classical music of the 20th century. This album, a collaboration of Rage during their second golden era with the Prague Symphony Orchestra, is a special case, as it constitutes a unique record. It is not the first time that the Greek-German Rage (Wagner, Fischer, the Efthymiadi brothers) would work with this particular symphony orchestra. Both on the standard albums XIII (1998) and Ghosts (1999), as well as on the second classical album, which will take the form of Revisited, and on this first one (a few years earlier), there was classical assistance within the regular tracks of the albums.

Here, in "Language of the Dead," as the title translates, we have the opposite: the orchestra enters Rage’s tracks. Songs like "In A Nameless Time," "Alive But Dead," the medley of "Don't Fear the Winter / Black In Mind / Firestorm / Sent By the Devil / Lost In The Ice," and "All This Time" are transformed into works of both classical and electric music at the same time. For only a few, compared to other similar albums that became fashionable then or later (such as Metallica’s S&M), the musical result here does not become tiresome!
