American Brutal/Technical Death Metal band INTESTINAL
DISSECTION released their new single «Life Eaters». The release was recorded in
the band's home studio, and mixed/mastered by Wam Lathrem.
INTESTINAL DISSECTION was formed in 2013 in Texas, USA
by Chuy Camacho (Bass) and Carlos Melendez (Guitars). During the years they
recorded several unreleased demos but after a while put the band on hold after
not being able to find members that were capable of playing this type of music.
In 2021 Wam Lathrem (Vocals), Devan Fechner (Guitars) and Dakota Stone (Drums)
and the band released their debut single "Holy Parasite" in 2022.
The track is taken from the band’s upcoming album
"Servants of the Devil" that will be released on April 28, 2023 as
Digipack CD, Gatefold Double Vinyl (LP1 Grey Marble / LP2 Orange Marble)
limited to 300 copies worldwide and digital streaming/download format.
A great release as was with 'Lawless Darkness'.I don't own any other of theirs.These guys show the world how well black
metal should be played and have originality to it.Intensity is not the word for it, more like a
blistering onslaught! Depressing black metal but not entirely.I've found it a little bit difficult to write
about this because there's so many changes.But that's what makes it interesting.It isn't THAT fast musically.It's rather dealing with tempo changes pretty drastically.Melodies that are depressing and a unique
guitar tone to it.The vocals go great
with the music.It's pretty spot-on!
CATHALEPSY
is a band from Valparaiso Chile founded by Luigi Ansaldi in 1998 that in 2006
released under the record label Orión Records and distribution Risestar music
and promotion, the album “Fight in the sky”,an album composed by Luigi Ansaldi achieving great acceptance in
countries like Brazil and Japan, unfortunately the adventure was short-lived
and for various reasons the band dissolved in 2010. In 2019 Luigi decided to
revive the use of his band's name, but this time as a project and began the
adventure of creating material for a new album, composing powerful and
energetic songs, with lyrics with powerful messages, Heavy metal with heart and
rage, creating songs that can be heard by everyone, this is a powerful and
raging album, but also fun, it is for all metalheads, without distinction of branches
or styles, this is Heavy fuckyn metal! In 2019 Fabián Valdés joins this
adventure, a prominent Chilean guitarist, who believed from the first day he
heard the demos in this project, is now an important part and stable member of
Cathalepsy. Cathalepsy is in the process of bringing all the power of their
music to the Heavy Metal fans!

το σύντομο βιογραφικό του συγκροτήματος αντιλαμβάνεσαι άμεσα ότι ο βίος του
υπήρξε αρκετά περιπετειώδης. Ξεκίνησαν το 1993 μαζί με άλλα γνωστά συγκροτήματα
του Ελληνικού ακραίου metalχώρου
όπως ROTTING CHRIST, SEPTIC FLESH, NECROMANTIA και NIGHTFALL υπό το όνομα PARALYSIS.
Σύντομα άλλαξαν το όνομα τους από PARALYSIS σε PHLEBOTOMY. Περί το 1994, αν δεν
κάνω, λάθος ξανά άλλαξαν το όνομα τους στους γνωστούς στους περισσότερους από
εμάς ON THORNS I LAY. Να σημειώσω εδώ ότι ο βασικός ιδρυτής του γκρουπ είναι ο
τραγουδιστής Stefanos Kintzoglou, ο οποίος το 2022 για λόγους δημιουργικής
διαφωνίας εγκατέλειψε τους ON THORNS I LAY κι αποφάσισε να επανδραστηριοποιηθεί
υπό το προηγούμενο όνομα της μπάντας, ήτοιτους PHLEBOTOMY.
Probably the most catchy Iron Maiden release that I've
ever heard.And I've been into metal for
over 30 years!The chorus's are epic and
the rhythms are unique as all hell.The
leads amazing and Bruce on vocals never disappoints!The riffs and vocals are how this album
shines.Not a song here that is
"bad" or "bogus."They all are amazing!I'm
surprised that I became a Maiden fan so much later on in their career.But that's alright, I'm able to enjoy it
now!The guitars and vocals especially.
They put on a great live performance as well!The songs sound as good as they are on the album.

Australian Progressive/Thrash Metal band INTER ALIA released
their new album «Boundless». The release was recorded, mixed and mastered by
Scott JT Ransom at Dark Matter Studio. This release came right after the band's
last album "Existential" was released in January 2023.

στην προκειμένη περίπτωση έχει αναλάβει τη σύνθεση όλων των τραγουδιών που
υπάρχουν στην κυκλοφορία αυτή (1 introκαι
12 τραγούδια) και το παίξιμο όλων των μουσικών οργάνων πλην των ντραμς όπου
εκεί έχει τη βοήθεια του μουσικού Simon Grundvall.
Με
καταγωγή από τη Μελβούρνη της Αυστραλίας, οι Shadow Of Nyx σχηματίστηκαν από
τον ντράμερ Chris Newton το 2019. Πραγματοποιώντας το όνειρό του να ερμηνεύσει
συμφωνικό μέταλ, ο Chris στρατολόγησε τον Tim Goodman στις κιθάρες, τον Paul
Mitchell στο μπάσο και τον Campbell Hill στα πλήκτρα και αργότερα πρόσθεσε τη
Sarah light στα φωνητικά για να συμπληρώσειτη σύνθεση του σχήματος.
Οι
Shadow Of Nyx συνδυάζουν παραδοσιακά συμφωνικά μέταλ στοιχεία, όπως φωνητικά
οπερατικής μουσικής και πολυεπίπεδες ορχηστρικές παρεμβάσεις, με το δικό τους
στυλ εναρμονισμένων leads και νεοκλασικών riff. Υπάρχουν έντονα στοιχεία τόσο
του progressive όσο και του power metal σε όλη τη μουσική, ιδιαίτερα στα
οργανικά τμήματα και στο πώς είναι δομημένα τα τραγούδια.
Το
ντεμπούτο τους EP "Melodis", σε παραγωγή και μίξη του Bob Katsionis
(Firewind, Serious Black, Stray Gods, κ.λπ.) περιλαμβάνει 5 κομμάτια που
εξερευνούν διάφορες μουσικές φόρμες και στιχουργικά στοιχεία. Το ομώνυμο
κομμάτι "Melodis" εμπνέεται από την αρχαία φωνητική μουσική όπου μια
φωνή θα τραγουδούσε ένα σταθερό μοτίβο ενώ μια άλλη φωνή θα τραγουδούσε μια
μελωδία γύρω του. Στιχουργικά αυτό το κομμάτι εξερευνά την ιδέα της μουσικής
και των ιστοριών που μεταδίδονται ανάμεσα στιςγενιές.
Στο EPσυμπεριλαμβάνεται και το ομώνυμο single“Melodis”
What can I say but: AUTOPSY!For having not been a fan throughout their
career, I think this one warrants a "B" rating.A semi-raw production sound like most of the
others.I suffice to say here that they
have some fresh riffs, and the vocals are pretty brutal.A lot of the riffs are slow which is vintage
Autopsy like their previous releases.The intensity is pretty up there and the lead guitar isn't bad at
all.It's not overly sloppy, it's
actually pretty well thought out.The
guitars set the tone for the album and Chris behind the set/vocals seemed to be
right on que.For a not so keen Autopsy
fan, I can say that I like what's going on here.
What a killer album that has so many highlights to
it!Brutal death metal like they always
deliver but the riffs are just fantastic.And the vocals.Everything seemed
to fit in on this release.It's one of
my favorites from them!This one is a
step-up from 'Gallery of Suicide'.The
riffs are better and so are the vocals!It seems like this album has a lot of balls to it.Uncompromising death metal the whole way
through.It just doesn't seem to let up
at all whatsoever!The only drawback is
that it's a little over 34 minutes, but intense nevertheless.I find not many flaws with the playing at all
and Corpsegrinder's vocals go well with the guitar.

λίγο πολύ, όλοι γνωρίζουμε την έννοια του splitcd. Ουσιαστικά είναι μια κυκλοφορία όπου
διάφορα συγκροτήματα συμμετέχουν με κάποιες δικές τους συνθέσεις. Αυτό δίνει τη
δυνατότητα στους οπαδούς και φίλους της όποιας μπάντας συμμετέχει να γνωρίσουν τον
ήχο και τις συνθέσεις των άλλων συγκροτημάτων.
FHBC
is now proving their evolution once more by adding more diverse elements, with
more aggressive vocals, heavier riffs and super melodic lead parts! This is a
stand-alone single to show where the band is standing at, at the moment! Music
and lyrics by Vagelis Karzis!
This is a solid release. I'm not a big fan of this
band but I'll have to say that they did a good job with the guitar riffs.That's what stands out the most for me.And the vocals go well with the music.They're really in sync altogether.The production quality is solid too.I'm not a fan of the lyrical concepts, but they
did well altogether on this release.There's a few guest musicians on here briefly you can hear the power
metal vocals on one of the later track ("Saxons and Vikings").I'm a bit surprised there hasn't been all
high ratings for this album.It's really
a good album, it has all the makings of quality melodic death metal.
I know it's a little much to give this album a perfect
score, but I can't say anything except positive things about it.However, I may be biased because melodic
death metal is my favorite genre in metal.They seem to fall under this category early on in their career changing
some over the years.But this album is a
landmark release from these Swedish metallers.A good follow-up release dominating over 'Steelbath Suicide' and my
all-time favorite Soilwork album in their entire discography.The energy is full throttle throughout the
whole album.There wasn't a song on
there that I disliked.

μην φανεί τετριμμένο ή χιλιοειπωμένο για συγκροτήματα σαν τους JUDASPRIESTκαι μουσικούς που συμμετείχαν σ’
αυτό. Πόσο, μάλλον, όταν έχεις να γράψεις για έναν από τους μουσικούς που
συνέβαλαν στη δημιουργία του θρύλου αυτού και συνέθεσαν metalύμνους σαν τους: “Dreamer
Deciever", "Never Satisfied", "Winter" και
"Victim Of Changes" που ακούμε μέχρι σήμερα με τον ίδιο ενθουσιασμού
που τους ακούσαμε για πρώτη φορά. Διότι
κυρίες και κύριοι τέτοια προσωπικότητα είναι ο ALATKINSο οποίος υπήρξε συνιδρυτής,
τραγουδιστής και συνθέτης των JUDASPRIESTγια την περίοδο 1969 έως 1973.
BLOODY NIGHTMARE started its road in Bogotá, Colombia
in 2013. In 2014, a demo called "Fliddlerman Possessed" was released.
In 2016, the band was part of a Split-CD called "Speed Legion". Then
the single "Tormento Eterno" came out in 2017, which would later be
re-recorded as part of the first full-length album called "Hellwolf",
released in 2018. As for 2022, the band shared again as part of a Split with
Punisher & Cobra called "Claws, Poison & Evil".
American Sludge/Post-Metal band Surus released their
debut album «Posthumous». The release was recorded in "Davco Manufacturing
Studios", mixed by Jared Hagan and mastered by Alan Douches from
"West West Side Music".
SURUS was formed in 2023 at Tulsa, Oklahoma by Jared Hagan
(Guitars/Vocals), John Hagan (Bass) and Brandon Simon (Drums), who wanted to
create music that would combine elements of Doom and Post-Metal.
Fans of American metal act Iced Earth have long hoped
for a new sign of life from their icons. On 28 April 2023, the wait will be
over at last: The band has announced the release of two new EPs on ROAR! Rock
Of Angels Records. Entitled ‘Hellrider’ and ‘I Walk Among You’, these releases
will include rare recordings from the transition phase between singer Tim
‘Ripper’ Owens' and predecessor/successor Matt Barlow in 2007 and 2008, a
particularly exciting and eventful period in Iced Earth’s band history.

μουσική μας υπάρχουν οι εμπνευσμένοι μουσικοί, οι ταλαντούχοι μουσικοί, οι
πολλά υποσχόμενοι μουσικοί, αλλά η σπουδαιότερη κατηγορία όλων κι αυτή που
κράτησε το μουσικό είδος που αγαπάμε ζωντανό είναι αυτή των μουσικών που ζούνε κι
αναπνέουν για το heavymetal.Των
μουσικών που ξέρεις ότι ότι κι αν δημιουργήσουν το κάνουν με αγάπη και μεράκι
και σε καμιά περίπτωση δεν μπορείς να τους προσάψεις σκοπιμότητα ή δόλο. Τέτοια
πάστα μουσικών είναι και οι καλλιτέχνες πίσω από τους MARAUDER. Εξάλλου εδώ και χρόνια το
χουν δηλώσει ότι «For Us Metal Is Enough».
Czech Melodic Death Metal band OBLIVIUM REGNUM released
their debut EP «Zrádce». The release was recorded in "Silence S.E.
Studios" and "OR Studio" and mixed/mastered by Luboš Martan.
OBLIVIUM REGNUM was formed in 2017 at Prague, Czechia,
by former members of the band "Depressive Reality" - Tomáš (vocals)
and Michal (bass guitar). The guys contacted former band mates - Luboš
(guitar), Ervin (guitar) and Slávek (drums) and the line-up was complete.

Though metal band Black Moon Lilith members range in
age from 15 to 19, their skills, creativity and passion are ageless.
From Ventura County, in the 805 of Southern
California, Thomas Hemmens (guitar), Nathan Hokom (bass), Jason Maser (drums)
and Emrys Mellinger (vocals/guitar) produce high-level, distinctive, complex,
jazz-flourished metal characterized by prominent and multifarious bass,
inventive and intricate drum beats, aggressive and dynamic vocals, and heavy
guitar riffs with a lyrical and emotive styling.
Hokom and Maser met in high school marching band,
connecting over a shared bond of music. Maser and Hemmens studied at the same
music school and had similar music preferences. The three came together to form
Black Moon Lilith in February of 2021. Mellinger, attending the same music
school, joined the lineup a year later.
Black Moon Lilith crafts a unique sound---progressive
extreme metal showcasing a mosaic of influences including traditional metal,
black/death metal, metalcore and deathcore.
The band has been hard at work writing an album’s
worth of material, all while cutting their teeth playing shows in Los Angeles
and Ventura Counties. Moribund, their debut single, was released March 3, 2023,
and is available on all streaming platforms.
Εντάξει, αν μου πεις κάτσε ρε Νίκο να
δω τι έχεις στη δισκοθήκη σου από ακραίο metal, μάλλον θα απογοητευτείς. Τι να
κάνουμε, το χω δηλώσει κατ’ επανάληψη ότι είμαι μεγάλος οπαδός του κλασσικού metalκαι powermetalήχου κι ότι έχει σχέση με τον
λεγόμενο ακραίο ήχο της μουσικής μας σταματάει κάπου στο thrashmetalσυνήθως. Αυτό, όμως, δεν αποτελεί για
μένα εμπόδιο στο να παρουσιάσω και μια κυκλοφορία που ανήκει στον ακραίο ήχο. Ίσως
από μια άποψη να με κάνει πιο αντικειμενικό, πιστεύω, διότι όσο πιο οπαδός
είσαι τόσο η άποψη σου τείνει να γίνει πιο υποκειμενική, αλλά κι αυτό είναι
κάτι που δεν μπορούμε να αποφύγουμε.
Definitely happy I got the CD version of this
album.However, the streaming displays 2
bonus tracks not found in the physical copy of the album.It was definitely worth the wait despite the
critics opinions of this release.I'm so
into this one.It's probably one of
their best in years.There's just a
variety of thrash/heavy metal on here.What's not shown is that Steve DiGiorgio is on bass for the recording,
not James Lamenzo.He's a permanent part
of the band however and toured with them this past year (2021).I got a chance to catch them with Hatebreed,
Lamb of God and Trivium!What a show!
