Περίεργο εξώφυλλο δεν έχει;

Το πρώτο άλμπουμ των μελλοντικών υπεραστέρων, είναι εδώ. Οι πέντε φίλοι απ' τη Βοστώνη, ξεκίνησαν με ένα άλμπουμ που περιέχει από την αρχή κλασικό bluesy rock αλλά βέβαια και τη πρώτη τους κλασική στιγμή που μνημονεύεται και τιμάται ακόμα ζωντανά 51 χρόνια μετά από τότε τη θρυλική power μπαλάντα Dream On (την οποία για να πω την αλήθεια την άκουσα πρώτα απ'τη διασκευή του Yngwie J. Malmsteen με τον τεράστιο Ronnie James Dio στη φωνή!). Αλλά όχι μόνο! Το Walkin' the Dog, που στην αρχική κυκλοφορία σε βινύλιο το είχαν τυπώσει σαν "Walkin' the Dig" απ' τη δισκογραφική εταιρεία, δημιουργώντας ένα ακόμη συλλεκτικό λόγω λάθους οπισθόφυλλο, το δυναμικό εναρκτήριο Make It, One Way Street, Mama Kin, Write Me A Letter αν και δεν είναι στο κλασικό μοτίβο που θα μας συνηθίσουν συντόμως, είναι ωραία κομμάτια. Το πράσινο φανάρι άναψε για αυτούς για τα καλά. Βέβαια η απογείωση ξεκινά με την "απονομή των φτερών" τους, δηλαδή το δεύτερο τους άλμπουμ.

Isn't it a strange cover?

The first album of the future superstars is here. The five friends from Boston started with an album that features classic bluesy rock from the very beginning, along with their first classic moment that is still remembered and honored live 51 years later: the legendary power ballad "Dream On" (which, to be honest, I first heard through Yngwie J. Malmsteen's cover featuring the great Ronnie James Dio on vocals!). But that's not all! "Walkin' the Dog," which, in its original vinyl release, was mistakenly printed as "Walkin' the Dig" by the record label, creating another collectible due to this error on the back cover; the dynamic opener "Make It," "One Way Street," "Mama Kin," and "Write Me A Letter," although they don't quite fit the classic sound we would soon get used to, are still great tracks. The green light has definitely turned on for them. Of course, their ascent begins with the "giving of wings" in the form of their second album.
