Κυβερνήτης και συγκυβερνήτης σας καλωσορίζουν στο σκάφος.

Έχοντας κάνει σχετικά εντύπωση με το ντεμπούτο τους (για σχήμα που μόλις ξεκινούσε, οι πωλήσεις ακόμη ήταν χαμηλές) οι πέντε νέοι (τότε πάντα) δε το βάζουν κάτω, σκουραίνουν το χρώμα στη φωτογραφία του εξωφύλλου, σκουραίνουν και το ηχόχρωμα τους κι απ' αυτό ξεκινά η άνοδος σε μεγάλα ύψη. Πολλοί πιστεύουν ότι το επόμενο, το θρυλικό Toys In The Attic ένα χρόνο μετά τους ανέβασε, η αλήθεια είναι ότι εδώ δεν έχει μεγάλο "χιτ" όπως σε εκείνο που θα έχει τουλάχιστον δύο. Το Get Your Wings  έχει όμως συνολική εικόνα δίσκου που τον ακούς μονορούφι με άνεση. Lord of the Things, Spaced, Woman of the World, η διασκευή στο κλασικό Train Kept a Rollin' (που έχουν κάνει διασκευή πρίν οι Yardbirds και οι Motörhead ζωντανα) του τζαζίστα Tiny Bradshaw και το Pandora's Box είναι υλικό που αξίζει και φέρνει κατά μου τις επιρροές τους απ'τη jazz και φυσικά τα blues ακόμη σε σήμερα να θυμίζουν Led Zeppelin κάποιες μελωδίες. Το αεροσκάφος ανεβαίνει σε μεγάλο υψόμετρο πλέον.

Having made a notable impression with their debut (for a band just starting out, their sales were still low), the five young men (still young at the time) didn't give up. They deepened the color of the cover photo, darkened their sound, and from there began their rise to great heights. Many believe that their next album, the legendary "Toys in the Attic," released a year later, elevated them further, but the truth is that this album doesn't have a major hit like that one, which would at least have two. However, "Get Your Wings" has an overall album experience that you can enjoy in one go with ease. Songs like "Lord of the Things," "Spaced," "Woman of the World," a cover of the classic "Train Kept a Rollin'" (previously covered by the Yardbirds and Motörhead live) by jazz musician Tiny Bradshaw, and "Pandora's Box" are all valuable material that reflect their influences from jazz and, of course, blues, reminding us even today of some melodies akin to Led Zeppelin. The aircraft is now ascending to a great altitude.
