Το στιβαρό τέλος μίας εποχής.

Δεν είναι μια ροκ όπερα, με αρχή, μέση και τέλος. Κάθε κομμάτι έχει να κάνει με έναν χαρακτήρα από βιβλίο ή κινηματογραφική ταινία. Οι πέντε μουσικοί υπό την αρχηγία των John Schaffer και  Matt Barlow, στο άλμπουμ που τους έμπασε στον 21ο αιώνα. Για πολλούς φίλους τους, ίσως ο τελευταίος κλασικός δίσκος ή αλλιώς  ο τελευταίος που να έχει γύρω του αυτή την αύρα που είχαν όλα τα άλμπουμ τους ως και πριν έντεκα χρόνια δηλαδή απ' το ομώνυμο ντεμπούτο τους. Σκοτεινό και με την αγαπημένη τους χαρακτηριστική δυναμική, ένα "χαλαρό θεματικό" άλμπουμ για τους φανταστικούς ήρωες του τρόμου κι το μυστηρίου της λογοτεχνίας και του κινηματογράφου. Η διασκευή στο ορχηστρικό Transylvania των Iron Maiden, κολλάει με το Dracula. Το Im-HoTep (Pharao's  Curse) ο ήρωας της μούμιας, το Damien, ο λυκάνθρωπος του Wolf,  το Jack για τον γνωστό Αντεροβγάλτη του βικτωριανού Λονδίνου -η μόνη αληθινή ιστορία-, το Jekyll & Hyde είναι κάποιες από τις πιο χαρακτηριστικές στιγμές του δίσκου.

The End of an Era

This isn't a rock opera with a beginning, middle, and end. Each track is inspired by a character from a book or a film. The five musicians, led by John Schaffer and Matt Barlow, created this album as they entered the 21st century. For many of their fans, it may be considered their last classic record—or the last one to possess the aura that surrounded all their albums up until eleven years ago, starting with their self-titled debut. Dark and featuring their beloved, signature dynamic, it's a "loosely thematic" album dedicated to the fictional heroes of horror and mystery from literature and cinema. The cover of Iron Maiden's instrumental "Transylvania" fits perfectly with the Dracula theme. Tracks like "Im-Ho-Tep (Pharaoh's Curse)" for the Mummy, "Damien," the werewolf of "Wolf," and "Jack" about the infamous Jack the Ripper of Victorian London—the only true story—along with "Jekyll & Hyde," are some of the album's most standout moments.
