Το πρωτοακουσα 1997. Αυθεντική κασσετα, Altlantic Records, αγορασμενη στο παλιό καλό Metropolis, στην Ομόνοια. Έχοντας βομβαρδιστεί με το videoclip για το Drag The Waters, άπειρες φορές. Ομολογώ ότι οι Pantera δεν με τράβηξαν ποτέ, οι λόγοι υποκειμενικοί αλλά κυρίως το ψεύτικο attitude του Phil Anselmo σαν άτομο που με απωθεί. Όμως αυτή την διπλή επετειακή έκδοση του πρώτου τους για μένα ακούσματος, την πήρα με χαρά...The Great Southern Trendkill, 13 Steps to Nowhere, Drag The Waters, Floods σου μένουν από αυτό.

Renewal or Decline?

In 1997, I first encountered it—an authentic cassette from Atlantic Records, purchased at the venerable Metropolis store in Omonia. I'd been inundated with the videoclip for "Drag The Waters" countless times. I must confess that Pantera never truly captivated me, largely due to subjective reasons, especially Phil Anselmo's insincere persona, which pushed me away. Nevertheless, this double anniversary edition of their debut album, to me, was a delightful acquisition. "The Great Southern Trendkill," "13 Steps to Nowhere," "Drag The Waters," and "Floods" are the enduring tracks from this experience.
