CHAOS
REALM is a very young three piece band from Athens, Greece delivering primitive
thrash metal. It reminds me of the same direction and feelings, the same as the
debut demo cdr of SUICIDAL ANGELS I received back in the 00's.
Fresh,
merciless, young, full of honest and raw tunes but full of passion and tons and
tons of will to work and dominate!!! The band is simple a mix of early
METALLICA with early SLAYER just to get a picture!!! The CD contains 6 full
tracks and an instrumental outro, with a total of 35 minutes, the sound is
decent since they recorded the stuff at home and mixed at fragile studios which
gave it an enormous polish and a sweet level of sound to all instruments and
vocals.
The
stuff is pure thrash metal the 80's way, with stuff ready for headbanging and
vocals between Hetfield and Tom Araya. The compositions are simple and true,
very close to old school thrash with very few drops of death metal.
In
general it is a great effort as a release, of course consider that we are
talking about kids and they pressed a limited number as a demo too, shrink
wrapped. Nice!!!! Waiting for their next move!!!
