AGE OF DISCLOSURE – To the Universe
Kunz Soundcorp.
It
seems that Adriano Troiano (bass player) is a musician that participates in
most of the interesting metal bands that come from Switzerland, although AGE OF
DISCLOSURE is not exactly his own band as DISTANT PAST is (if you like
traditional heavy metal with progressive touches you should check them out).
AGE OF DISCLOSURE actually were formed when the guitarist and songwriter Ben
Sollberger decided to professionally record some of the many songs that he had
written in the past. The catalyst which helped him to make his dream a reality
was Adriano Troiano with the huge experience he has in the metal scene (he was
also a member of the great band EMERALD). So, the cooperation of these two
musicians led to the realization of this album in which four singers participate
amongst the other musicians.
“To
the Universe” is an album in which variety plays a main role since you will
listen to many different styles of songs that all have their own identity. I
mean that the songs might have differences between them but they are also
naturally connected to one another. So, you will listen here from hard ‘n heavy
compositions to power and thrash metal songs. The band is obviously inspired by
the 80’s sound, but they also have some late 90’s metal references and of
course modern touches too (some grooves actually). I think that musically they can
be compared with artists like BRUCE DICKINSON (personal works), IRON MAIDEN,
ICED EARTH and SAVATAGE.
Lyrically
also the band deals with some very important topics like war, existential
matters and in general about human society and how it functions in our days. I
think that they do it in a way that makes you think about it and reach your own
conclusions. I think that this is everything an artist wants to succeed to make
his audience have a nice time and also make them think and interact with his
creation.
AGE
OF DISCLOSURE introduce themselves with a very interesting release that applies
both to fans of traditional and modern heavy metal sound. I will expect to
listen and the rest of the songs that Ben Sollberger has written soon. Check
them out…
