IRON FORCE – Dungeon Breaker Review

IRON FORCE – Dungeon Breaker
Dying Victims Productions
Musically speaking I think that we live in an era that is more 80’s than the 80’s. Having passed my childhood in that era it is really nice to see its revival, but I really like the bands that revive the sound and don’t simply copy it. IRON FORCE from New York is a band that only has a year of existence and they have already released a demo in 2014, a live bootleg and the EP “Dungeon Breaker”. I think that this proves that IRON FORCE are an over productive band and really thirsty for heavy metal. As I mentioned above IRON FORCE’s sound has its roots deeply in the 80’s to the point that if someone didn’t have the information that they are a new band they might have thought that they are actually an 80’s metal band. Their style is raw speed metal and it is close to the early days of that sound where the bands had a rough and raw sound production and they also sound evil and brutal. I think that a comparison with bands such as VENOM, EXCITER and early BATHORY is quite accurate. “Dungeon Breaker” is a release of primitive raw speed metal full of energy and evilness that will possess you, especially if you are into this sound. The guys also succeed to give their own personal approach to their influences and this is because of their talent and the love that they have for this sound. So if you are in league with Satan and want to scream long live the loud, IRON FORCE can give you the chance to do so.
